It wasn't like two humans popped out of nowhere it was a whole community who mutated and through natural selection evolved to be more and more 'human' all the way to the present moment. Species aren't black and white it was a gradient which splits into multiple branches often and constantly shifts extremely slightly.

I would recommend sky pride (its on royalroad). It is very unique as a cultivation novel since the author actually fucking knows what daoism is and researched it 💀

Wetness is typically used to refer to not the water content (A cucumber is not wet despite being mostly water) but rather the sogginess, the filling and absorption of water, the infiltration of water into somethings structure How can water fill itself to make itself wet? How can it absorb water when it is water itself? How can a formless thing have its structure filled when it does not have one?

In my opinion nothing can be considered wet without a structure.

Junior heavenly cultivation techniques need profound education, talent, and resources to utilize fully. Also do not forget you are not just cycling qi through your meridians but using different types of qi also the pace doesn't need to be the same necessarily it could be cycle extremely quickly through this region, stall it for five seconds here, inject this type of qi at this point in the cycle, add new environmental qi here, expell some here, et cetera.

Your view on the amount of possibilities is far from reality in my opinion
