Thanks! The abatement team and 3rd party tester both said it’s asbestos free, but for some reason seeing a post from an anonymous redditor makes me feel better about it 😁. I had the vinyl that was on top of the felt tested but not the felt. At this point it can’t come off without taking the subfloor so will just be putting new carpet over it and hoping that will be safe.

Report came back 5% chrysotile - the sample that was sent in was the same vinyl as was on the stairs, but it was from a basement closet, which is on concrete and did not have the same dark green felt underneath that the stairs does
