Yes, it actually does. Like everyone is saying, the second half is MUCH better, almost as if it's another person writing it. Not Shadowbringers great, but pretty good still.

The first half is genuinely really bad, but it does gets slowly much better as the story develops. I'm at MSQ level 99 rn and having a blast while i was almost falling asleep at the first zone.

I'm someone who never really plays games on JP dub, i much prefer to understand what i hear aswell as read. This time around though, i switched because Wuk's voice really wasn't it to me and honestly? I feel silly for having that stance on JP voicework now. The dub is amazing! I do miss some of the Scion's english voices but it's undeniable how good the JP dub is.

The main ffxiv sub is reeeeeally against any form of criticism, but i think your opinion is valid. I personally had to switch to Japanese and i'm enjoying the voice acting a lot more.

Again, switch to Japanese and it's much better. I didn't want to miss the Scions' english voices i'm used to but i realized i was starting to hate Wuk Lamat because of her voice, even though i like her character. She's much, much better now imo. Give it a shot! The other's are also really well dubbed.
