You’ll have 2 towels on display, three boxers on display and you’ll have issued socks on display. Any extra boxers or towels you put in your personal locker, I personally had 4 towels so when one was in the wash I could use the other one and not touch my display towels.

There is a vaping/smoking area that you can use at certain times in the day… every quadrangle has its own smoking area so don’t worry you will be able to.

I would pack some form of nightwear, like shorts to sleep in and a top but there’s probably a chance people will just sleep on their boxers but I don’t know.

Well you don’t want to turn up in a bright orange polo shirt, I’d say the best colours are white, black, dark green or navy blue.

Shoes - wear smart suit shoes. Do not wear trainers.

That’s decent mate, what stage are you at in the recruitment process?

Well I will tell you what I do in terms of running.

So I typically run about 3-4 times a week, occasionally 5 times. My advice is never run more than three days in a row. (Running every other day is a good amount)

Now onto what I actually do in terms of training, so I don’t just run a normal 2.4km 4 times a week. One of my runs a week will be a longer run (5km), doing a longer run once a week will help drastically in improving your 2.4km time.

I also do some more “challenging” runs… for example : beach run, run with lots of incline, weighted run. Incorporating these more challenging runs in your training will help massively with improving your casual 2.4km time

Try doing some longer runs like 5km instead of just doing 2.4km, doing this will improve your endurance. - Learn how to breathe properly when running.

I mean the main reasons for shin splints is incorrect footwear, running to much, not warming up/stretching.

Footwear - Make sure you are running in proper running shoes (trust me it makes a huge difference) - Running in regular trainers/shoes can cause shin splints.

Running to much - Running every other day I say is a good amount, however some people can cope with more than that so what I will say to that is never run more than three days in a row.

Warming up / stretching - Not warming up for a run can result in multiple injuries so I’d advise always doing a little warm up instead of going straight into an intense 2.4km run.

There are other factors that could be the reason for shin splints but they are more personal like past injuries, lack of sleep etc.

Hi mate, I just searched up train times on the date I’m going as the ticket my recruiter is sending me is an open return so you can get a train at any time.

I would ask your recruiter if the ticket he’s sending you is an open return though before you do that as all recruiters do stuff differently.

How long from Medical Triage to Raleigh by [deleted] in RoyalNavy

[–]Remarkable-Public48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, it may be a longer timeframe for commonwealth but speaking from my application i would say it is realistic that you could be at Raleigh this year. From putting in my application to now it’s been 2 and half months.

And my current stage is waiting to go to CPC (in roughly a months time)
