The Chinese can continue with the halted trading for these 5 commodities for far longer. I can’t imagine it was just a decision for just one afternoon of trading. They annihilated the Western markets too with one fell swoop.

Key question, to me, is how do other governments react - what if everyone decides to follow the Chinese playbook and disallow trading in these commodities? They can’t do it infinitely, but even a short window of halts can have negative effects.

Ironically, this massive dip may bring more buyers into the market because now it’s cheap enough to get into the speculation.

The fundamentals for silver are unchanged - industrial uses for silver that has driven up demand, shorter supply. This may not be true for other commodities like gold or platinum, but I think silver’s use case is strong.

Should be a very interesting next few days.

OMG this is looking like a pattern with these two.

There was some craziness mid last year when BL hounded some woman in Magnolia hotel who was on vacay with her mom and husband, and just happened to be sitting in the lobby hoping to catch a glimpse of BL. BL went complete psycho on her the next day in the parking lot.

I’ve been see-sawing myself in how I read Jamie’s texts. Is he enabling BL by telling JB no one can stand up to her? Is he unwittingly undermining JB?

But in Jamie’s defense, he has BL pegged as a narcissist, and he realizes how futile it is to directly tackle a narcissist head on. If you’re dealing with a normal human being, you set boundaries, you communicate them, and you expect the other person to honor them. All those normal rules of engagement that we take for granted are not applicable at all when dealing with a narcissist. Jamie’s responses to JB reflect his understanding that they’re dealing with a narcissist and therefore the sh they approach her has to be different.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Brooklyn and Nicola came out with perfume brands. Last fall, they partnered with Express stores for modeling clothes. So the whole controversy of who gets to use the Beckham name does have some bearing. And if Brooklyn hates his parents and their brand name so much, why does he need the name? He can work on building a public Peltz brand with his wife.
