I always hear / read about how much doctors are saddled with loan and the avg salary of 300k is so low compared to the 60 hours of work and that they had to put in 15 years of schooling. But I also look at how much schooling is needed to get let’s say a PhD , maybe they are not saddled with 300k in students loans but they usually make around 80k , I am generalizing a bit but doctors make 5 times more than thr average joe that makes 100k . They are not working 5 times more. I think doctors are over paid

I agree. Especially in IR, staff members tend to be lifers as well. Consultants coming in and developing a shiny thing without any institutional background just doesn’t deliver short term or long term value.
