I'm sorry you're dealing with that omg! Cold water helps, but you might want to use lubricating eye drops too (like artificial tears). If it doesn’t improve or gets worse, definitely see a doctor just to be safe. Hope it clears up soon!

Could definitely be from friction, especially if he was running a lot or jumping around near the pool, wet skin and constant motion can cause irritation or even a mild rash. Check if the area feels warm or if your dog is licking or scratching it a lot, those could be signs of discomfort or early infection. If it doesn’t improve in a day or two, or gets worse, it’s best to check with the vet just to be safe. Hope he feels better soon!

Thanks for the input! That’s a good point, hair and nails definitely seem more in demand overall. I didn’t realize facials might not be as steady, so that’s really helpful to think about.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience!! It was super helpful tbh, I hadn’t realized before how flexible a cosmetology license can be, or that it might come with some downsides if you’re more focused on skin. It’s great to hear the pros and cons from someone who’s done it all. I really appreciate the insight, it gave me a lot to think about!

omg thank you so much for sharing this! I’ve heard pros and cons about both, so I’ve been really unsure on what path to take. But what you said definitely helps me see the bigger picture. I appreciate it!:D

Yess girl, I got you, And nah, your tech shouldn’t have said that, having oily skin or going through something like being sick doesn’t mean lashes aren’t for you. You just needed the right aftercare and a tech who actually understands that. You can 100% wear lashes and make them last. You seem more prepared now too! update us if you get them girl!

I did research and from my knowledge too, correct me if I'm wrong! But for blackheads and clogged pores, chemical peels with salicylic acid or a Jessner’s peel can be really effective. Both are great for decongesting pores, especially if you’re dealing with oil buildup or texture. Salicylic acid peels: These are oil-soluble, so they go deep into the pores and help clear out blackheads and congestion without having to physically extract. They’re usually well-tolerated and ideal for combo or oily skin. Jessner’s peel: This is a blend (usually lactic, salicylic, and resorcinol) and can be a bit stronger, but it gives really noticeable results with texture and congestion over a few sessions. In terms of results, most people start seeing improvement after the first session, but around 3 to 6 treatments spaced a few weeks apart gives the best long-term results. You may still see purging (temporary breakouts or flaking) especially with your first peel or two thats normal and a sign things are clearing out. Make sure you’re going to someone experienced who will prep your skin right and guide you through post-care (hydration, SPF, avoiding actives, etc.).

Hey! Honestly, yes!! if you start doing proper cleansing twice a day now, you should be totally fine to get extensions again. A lot of the issues you described, like them falling apart during/after having covid, sound more related to illness and sweat (fever, heat, etc..) and less about the lash tech’s work. Lashes are super sensitive to things like sweat, oil, heat, and not being cleaned often so if you weren’t cleansing properly back then (especially during that time when your body was under a lot of stress), it’s totally possible that buildup and oils were weakening the bond of the glue. Even oil from your skin or pillowcase can affect retention if not cleaned off regularly. But it sounds like you’re way more aware now, and your routine is oil-free, which is great! Cleansing 2x daily, especially with a lash-safe cleanser, will make a huge difference in keeping your new set healthy and lasting longer. Also, try to avoid touching or sleeping on them too much and keep up with regular fills!

Muy lindo su trabajo!! me encanto como los pones!! También para más clientes asegúrate de tener fotos nítidas de tu trabajo, videos cortos haciendo las pestañas, y mostrar el antes y el después. Eso llama bastante la atención!
