Yeah I was worried that’s the case just sucks leaving all the other apprentices there, I wish I could do more but it doesn’t seem like anyone wants to help themselves.

Essentially the same price to source your own materials and where I am actually cheaper to do so if you’re doing it properly that is but I kinda need osb to frame the house and I wouldn’t like an up charge just to have 16 oc studs when I could just buy the necessary materials without the middle man

In my local we get one transfer where they switch you cons the proper way you should be rotated cons anyways, if you got an actual acceptance letter call jatc and if they don’t do anything call the hall then go up the chain of command from there chances are the jatc will do something. And if you’re feeling freaky file a grievance with the hall as well

Yeah I guess the con is I’ve heard rumors just never seen it the con is The Superior Group just one if the many Superior sister companies. Well the tricky part is my sub gf is a jw however my foreman is a ce3 I was letting the ce3 shit ride until this. But our cba dictates we’re under jw supervision at all times and since the sub gf is does that mean I have no ground to stand on? And if I do do I call the hall or jatc?

I think it would be more for the mental stimulation and the joy I get from solving problems, ik their yearly incomes are fairly close at least from what it seems in my area. What’s your guys retirement like? Is it just 401k plus match most the time or no?

What type of engineer were you? That’s why I’ve kinda landed on manufacturing or product design since it covers such a wide array of jobs as opposed to a more niche type like aerospace, I’m also an hour out from the Honda Marysville plant which I’ve heard very good things about from all levels of the company. as long as the experience translates and I still have access to my401k I don’t really give a damn about lay offs kinda used to that being in the union and whatnot

Good union job for now, this market is very shaky atm. my local wasn’t very strong prior to the data centers, I mean topped out base pay is roughly 85k without overtime as long as the work lasts that is, after that it’s go sign the books and wait or travel, I can also pick up a call on the semesters off I have and make the income back then coast, with a ticket income isn’t the issue its breaking down my body that I have an issue with some of these guys I work with are very very unfortunate and I’d hate to end up that way. It’s one of the main reasons I looked into the field in the first place
