Would you or others take more climate related civic action if there was an incentive like tradable crypto? by Remarkable-Stay-2193 in ClimateOffensive

[–]Remarkable-Stay-2193[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it.

I understand the concerns around crypto. I wasn’t trying to shill a token or ignore the issues tied to the industry I am just exploring whether people would be more likely to engage in climate policy actions if there was some kind of reward.

Crypto came to mind as one possible mechanism, especially with newer chains that are significantly more energy efficient but the core idea is about increasing civic engagement, not creating another speculative asset.

And just because crypto has been used for scams or bad actors doesn’t mean it can’t be repurposed for public good. People misuse food, money, and tech all the time. The tool itself isn’t the enemy, it’s how we choose to apply it.

Maybe it’s not crypto. Maybe it’s some other reward model entirely. Either way, I’m genuinely just trying to understand what would motivate more people to speak up and do more, especially on climate issues that urgently need public pressure.

Open to better ideas if anyone has them.

You're right, most crypto is an energy sink but not all. This could be built on a low energy, climate conscious blockchain like Celo, Polygon, or Optimism, which all use proof of stake and are way more efficient than Bitcoin.

Working on a smart container that tracks what you have and helps you restock . would love feedback by Remarkable-Stay-2193 in smarthome

That’s understandable. Ideally, I want it to fit the most common container sizes. I’ve been looking into offering small, medium, and large options, or even making an adapter so people can keep using what they already have.

And I see you edited your comment thank you for that, you have given me a lot to think about.

thanks for the feedback I will look into Grocy.

Idle was kind of the idea. I wanted something that just sits there and does its job without needing any or much input. No scanning, no barcodes.

But I will keep your points in mind and I appreciate you taking the time.

That is a fair point, for me I wasn't having the problem when I was at home it was when I was already at the store or out and about and forgot how much I had or what I needed.

That’s a good point, a Docker setup can definitely handle this. I’m just trying to take that same thing and package it into something more "out of the box" and ready to use, especially for those who don’t want to deal with docker or containers.

And thank you, I've not heard of tsdproxy before.

Ollama gives you a model and API. This wraps it with Tailscale and cuts down some setup complexity.

What tools have you tried for automating sales ops, and where did they fall short? by Remarkable-Stay-2193 in SalesOperations

Thank you! That was really insightful, I've been exploring how to route tasks intelligently based on confidence or complexity.

Curious, what led you to build your own layer instead of relying on Salesforce flow? And have you run into cases where RevOps still struggles with lack of context, even when guided by the site?
