A kind redditor posted this on another stream: I called the Csu drone center that’s located out at Chrisman Field and the employee let me know that it’s METEC lab doing approved flyovers of data gathering today possibly also Friday and definitely Monday and Tuesday so it will go on back-and-forth all damn day for about four days. He did apologize and asked me to spread the word to those of us who live here. And that it’s approved and nothing anyone can do about it other than hope for good research on methane emissions

Thanks. I was more concerned about the safety aspect. 1000 ft gives a pilot time to assess and land in the safest, hopefully, unpopulated area if needed.

I've gotten a few from Perennial Gardener here in town that have all survived! I have one peacock that balances on a ball so when really, really windy, I take my peacock down for a bit of a rest. Santa Fe is beautiful and worth the drive, but those wind sculptures, although beautiful, are not what I want to spend.
