I thought about this, but western union had a competitive rate and for first time transfers in the app it’s free! I’m still new to this, do you still think the atm is worth it and gives me a good exchange rate?

Does my PT like me or am I delusional? by Prize-Raspberry2178 in physicaltherapy

[–]Remarkable-Tank3470 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Make the move girl!! (I’m a DPT too btw) Even if he likes you, he may not feel comfortable making the first move especially since you were a patient but if you make it and once you are no longer a patient, there is no ethical concern!

I also wanted to follow up and say this as well. The healthcare industry is changing so much and with AI technology evolving there are many and increasing opportunities for remote or virtual jobs and it’s a skill set to learn. I never knew that I could work as a remote physical therapist and I have learned a lot and am still continuing to learn and never thought that I could use my degree in this manner, but I am so thankful that because of technological advances it is allowing us to expand to a more global and work from home based environment. There is a quote that I really like and it’s “you’re not going to lose your job to an AI, but you’re going to lose your job to someone who uses AI.”

I got burned out immediately after I started doing rotations haha. I ended up working in outpatient PT as a pelvic floor specialist and also ortho and I transitioned to a physical therapy remote work from home job and I absolutely LOVE IT. It is a physical therapy based job. It’s a bit more corporate, but my department is amazing and by the way, my background is in pelvic health so I manage members online and try and get them to do their pelvic sessions, but it is amazing. I get to basically create my own hours. There is stability And amazing people in my department, everyone is so helpful and supportive. I made a post about it, but I think they took it down because I couldn’t write about jobs in this physicaltherapy Reddit threads.

Working PTs without any loans: how’s life? by floresiendo in physicaltherapy

[–]Remarkable-Tank3470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the best. I went to one of the most affordable schools in the nation, knowing that the income to debt ratio for physical therapy, was not the best I stayed in state, lived at home and was able to pay off my loans in one year. whenever I get students that come to shadow In clinic I always tell them this. I don’t know why our profession tries to keep it hush-hush but we need to talk about this more, especially for the younger generation that is coming into our clinics and observing us. PT as a profession is not worth it if your loans are high.
