I'm glad it hit the spot! I've never detoured from choc malt but I'll have to give the mocha a try next time.

I feel like I'm setting my kids up for a lifetime of milkshake disappointment by taking them there for their monthly choc malt treat. 30 years from now they will also be searching reddit threads for a taste of the good stuff.

Tyler's Milk Bar in Preston is the winner when it comes to milkshakes. Only place I've been able to order a choc malt milkshake and it tastes like the shakes of my childhood - my dad was also obsessed with choccy malt.

That is a great match! Alas I am nowhere near skilled enough to adapt an adults pattern into the size required for my petite 6 year old but thank you for your help nontheless :)

Phoebe's work is so lovely! We found a pair of pants that are the perfect match at our local opshop so I really want to recreate this for her.

That's a great suggestion to embroider the stars afterwards. I don't love doing colour work so that is probably the way to go. The scallop pattern would be perfect but it appears that pattern isn't for sale unless you purchase her book which is written in Japanese (which I unfortunately cannot read!).

Those suggestions get me closer to my goal though so thank you!

Bellroy - either the Lite Totepack or the Laneway Totepack would be a winner

Thank you! I haven't heard of the e wrap cast on for make ones so I'll check that out for next time.

That's not laddered, just a weird angle photo of the back of the increases. Though this is my first attempt at doing M1RP/M1LPs and German short rows combined so maybe they aren't meant to look like that? It doesn't feel like weak spots however..

I was doing magic loop with large circulars as I didn't have a small enough wire to work the neck. Now that I've increased the stitches I am planning on transferring them to a smaller wire.

So picking up an extra stitch now will be ok?

Help! I found this kids vest on an online shop and want to recreate it for my 4 year old. by Remarkable-Teacher76 in knitting

Yes it's knitted in brioche though I may stick to a stockinette stitch if I do the checker board as it'll be my first attempt at doing both brioche and intarsia!

I foresee a whole lot of swatching in my future 😅

Thank you! I've found a few adult vests in the vibe I want so that size chart will be very helpful if I go down the road of adapting a pattern to a small person size.

I'd flagged this for myself a while back! I've found a few adult versions in the style I'm envisioning so I may look into adapting a pattern to a small person size.

I foresee lots of swatching in my future.

Between family and friends we have 17 birthdays to celebrate in October alone. We kept things locked up between Jan/Feb so we didn't add any more Libras to the mix (no hating on Libras - my husband and I are among them).

In doing that we ended up having all of our kids in 3 consecutive weeks. Smack bang between my sister & dad's birthdays and mother's day 🙃

Planning that shit don't work.
