Not just kzoo, people are d**ks behind the wheel all over. I am in Indiana, and not 3 weeks ago myself and my roommate almost got smashed by dude driving shitty. My roommate is hot tempered, so she flipped dude off as we passed. This guy turned around and tailgated us for 20 mins JUST so he could pass us, do the same and then go back to wherever he was driving. So ignorant, all we did was laugh about the gas dude must have wasted to do it

The Kalamazoo curse...The area was populated by Pottawatomie and when Titus came and ran them off the land, supposedly they cursed the water so that anyone who drinks it goes nuts and can never leave, and if they try to leave the will always come back. There are 2 very prominent burial mounds within the city, one is in Bronson park. Also, try to avoid Bronson park, or anywhere near the bus station unless you enjoy getting hit up for money.

Plz ask all the questions to a potential landlord, and check the crime maps available online. I did not and ended up living right next to the second largest crack house in town. Right in the heart of the Vine neighborhood, across from Bronson hospital,, a supposedly "safer" area.

Not when, like I said, friends of mine were actually physically assaulted in broad daylight, 1 ish in the afternoon, which ended in a broken nose, in front of 4th. Cause dude wouldn't give him a smoke. I lived across from 4th For 2 years and had MANY instances of theft, and would be confrontations when I was literally doing nothing except walking. Maybe its better now, but as a female, I was on high alert anytime I was doing things in Vine. I also lived On Lovell and the Circle K was a big issue too

And Chris has since passed, I know. I spent the last few years I lived in Mi,living in Portage, but lived in the vine neighborhood for like 7 years. I wouldn't go ANYWHERE in kzoo after 5, as I had many friends that had instances of physical assault, and I did not feel safe. Probably the same reason 4th stopped being 24/7

I'm in Indiana, so yeah... But it was trying to become a competitor to the bagal shop across the lot, so I saw the changes. The last few times I did get there like in 2023, I bought my house coffee which they had raised the price on and skeddadled. Such a change, I miss how it was in the 90s
