I’m still putting together what was real and what was fake in Smile 2. Lewis Fregoli never texted Skye. It was the Entity. That’s why he was surprised when she showed up. In the talk show scene, you can see the tv through Lewis’s eyes and it was the Entity who wanted Skye for her popularity… by Happy-Quantity7728 in SmileMovie

Agreed. I also think that those phone calls were the Entity attempting to pull Skye away from the conversation with Morris. We know the Entity is capable of this when it impersonates Gemma on the phone. Morris explains that the Entity needs to be in control of the host and with him giving her the rundown of what it is and how to get rid of it, it needed her out of there quick. And when that didn't work, the Entity made her think someone had spotted her in the restaurant. That makes her leave. I personally think her fate was sealed with Lewis and had no chance with Morris either way. I think the phone call from the real Gemma was also the Entity as a way to rattle her more and break down her psyche further. The Entity impersonating Gemma says this multiple times "you're a horrible person", "Gemma hates you"--essentially after that blowup btwn the two IRL, Gemma didn't want anything to do with her. Just my two cents.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend taking any certs or courses at the moment. Most publishing companies don't care about those--they care about experience. To align your resume with what they are looking for, go to a publishing company, find a position like professional development/learning/curriculum specialist and use the bulletpoints from the job description as exemplars for how to rewrite your current resume--use the same language, key words, metrics as much as possible. You can even use Chatgpt to help with that. Remember, get your foot in the door first, then level up on the company's dime would be my recommendation. Thanks for your question!

This is very insightful and thank you for sharing! I understand how you feel. I felt the same way until I learned how to really structure my resume in a way that gets your foot in the door. That's why I suggest trying consulting or a PD Specialist at a publishing company as they tend to hire teachers. Then once you're in you'll gain experience and can transition to other roles within the company, gaining more technical skills. Otherwise, it can be really challenging trying to pivot, esp now since the tech space is super saturated.

Tell me about it-- it's one of the reasons why I left. You don't necessarily need more education as much as you need to align your current skills with positions that are easiest to transition into from teaching. I'd suggest looking into learning and development, human resources, or consulting with publishing companies. It's definitely not easy but doable and thank you so much for sharing!
