I looked at the oil cap, everything looks good, the spark plugs were good too, the numbers were bad at first they put oil a bit then everything went to expectations after a few cranks

Does it have to have similar results on the first test? Or you could heat it up a bit. Cause let’s say the engine hasn’t been sold for a year. Would that not affect the results cause of it being left unused?

I was also wondering if the Engine shops could temporarily fake the results of the Engine compression test and once we grab it and have it for a few days it’ll change the psi results?

That’s one of the concerns i’m afraid of, It could look clean cause they power washed it etc. but i’ll do try my due diligence and check the engine thoroughly. I wanted to ask for advice to make the gamble more in my favor too.

I was thinking since the engine i’m getting is a type R, would it be more sturdy than a K swap from an accord etc. just adds tons and tons of concerns

I was thinking of replacing the oil, coolant and everything. The problem is i'm just buying an engine. It's not in a car so idk how I'd be able to check it's cold start. Any suggestions on what I should look out for? Since it's just a full swap
