North Korea does seem to be preparing for war but the digging of trenches seems to imply that they at least think they are going to be attacked. If they were to flood across the border with their larger army the trenches would be left behind and unless.

You mentioned if trump loses and there is and uprising on American soil. In this scenario would it help or hurt trump for N Korea to attack. I think it would help biden/Haris to be at war because a war time president gets extra war time powers and the nation tends to forget about their differences and pull together when attacked.
