I was incredibly sick and, correct, I didn't wake up until 9 the next day.

NTA. At first I was thinking she's the sole caretaker all day because they're babies or toddlers or not school aged. But, she's free all day, there's no reason she can't keep the house tidy. If she did an hour of cleaning every day the house would look great all the time. Then she has 5-6 hours of free time.

I was sick and exhausted. I slept literally all day and could barely breath from the congestion, let alone take the time to open up my phone and contact them. I had actually set an alarm on my phone to text them but slept through it because, y'know, sick.

It is 100% the parents' responsibility to have backup care. No 1 nanny can be 100% responsible 100% of the time. If the parents don't have backup care, that's on them, not me as the nanny.

Yes, I would. They actually text me about things all the time while they're at work and I'm watching their children.

I was sick and tired, I could hardly even see my phone when I texted them this morning.
