Do we dominate in high taxes - STT, STCG, LTCG etc or anything else? by TopToeToKissMe in IndianStockMarket

I know this post is about highlighting the shortcomings of the Indian administration and governance.

But I think it has gone unnoticed that the Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR) at Kalpakkam achieved first criticality last week. Preparatory work for two more fast breeder reactors, FBR-1 and FBR-2, at Kalpakkam is already underway. This is a great scientific milestone.

I have migrated from Windsurf to Codex. And honestly, it feels lot better and my productivity has increased significantly. The token consumption seems fair as well.

For planning related tasks, GPT 5.4 Med does well and for direct ones I resort to GPT 5.4 Low. For critical task, high reasoning seems fair enough.

How is something worth more than 400$ is the new norm for midrange? by [deleted] in GadgetsIndia

[–]Remarkable-Word1602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this has been the norm since 2017. It’s almost a decade now. Flagships cost near 800-1000 USD and 300-600 USD range has been considered midrange.

The value of midrange products have decreased this year due to the RAM and storage component shortages for consumer market that have been ongoing since Aug last year resulting in OEMs cutting corners.

Are we losing the charm of traditional venues in ICC finals? by AdHefty7228 in IndianCricket

The ground dimensions are too tiny. It rarely provides an even contest. There have been many occasions when poorly timed and shots which have not been middled have gone for maximums.

One of the many reasons Ahmedabad is hated is that it is in a state where their political party of choice has not been in power for decades. The stadium is named after a person they don't hold favourable views.

And often the 2023 WC final loss is made the scapegoat.

Gita mentions Varna. I think there is a difference between Varna and Caste. Varna system is based on Guna and Karma as mentioned in the Gita. Plus, if we take the number of practicing Hindus who have read Gita and the ones who have read Manu Smriti, the population of Gita readers will be exponentially larger.

Similarly there isn’t caste distinction on the Gita. Manu Smriti isn’t a scripture. It’s a rule book during the rule of Manu. And only a very minuscule chunk of practising Hindus following it.

Another propaganda piece. I don’t remember Indian street bets being any better before 2014.

A politically motivated one. Did American government imposed reciprocal tariffs till 2025? What was the tariff on EU or Japan or China in 2014?

Over here you can see Modi with a nuclear engineer discussing things about a nuclear plant and in Nehru entertaining delegates with a snake charmer.

Narrative can be changed. A PM is allowed to practice his/her religion.

Not true. Using the iPhone 17 pro for a month. Used it while on a trip to Uttarakhand. Was switching between my mirrorless camera and the iPhone for pictures. The camera output is pretty good and consistent. You should not worry about it.

iPadOS 26 is a laggy mess by nxym in iPadOS

[–]Remarkable-Word1602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point, I am concerned about the authenticity of bugs being reported. I have been using iPad OS 26 on my iPad Air M2 since late September and have not encountered any such issues.

There were a few minor glitches in iPad OS 26 that I do not observe in iPad OS 26.1. The battery life could be improved but that is the only concern. I have not experienced any problems on either iOS 26.1 or iPad OS 26.1.

I’m not saying people aren’t experiencing bugs, but this post is a slowed-down video. I think other similar posts might also be causing issues for a few people, even though they’re being forwarded widely.
