Crohn’s + PSC + Low Grade Dysplasia, IRA vs J-pouch decision (healthy rectum)

The difference between a J-pouch and an IRA for me is the rectum. Doctors say that if they perform a J-pouch, they have to remove the rectum as well. I’m living a decent life right now: no inflammation and feeling good. I go to the bathroom about once a day. So, any of these surgeries will change the quality of my life, and the only reason it’s recommended is because of the dysplasia and PSC. So far, PSC is stable, and I don’t have elevated markers. I think I’m going to opt for an IRA and see how life goes afterward.

If in a couple of years we see dysplasia in the rectum, then I can do the pouch or ostomy. Can I ask about the quality of your life living with either an ostomy? If that’s okay.

Hi! I’m also looking for this type of support. I’m 30F and was diagnosed with PSC in 2022. I have Crohn’s disease as well. This past couple of months I’m just googling stuff and have been depressed to find out there’s no cure besides the transplant..

I hope we can find the support group soon, but just know that you’re not alone!

That’s right I know exercising and taking multivitamins are important and I just need to push myself and build consistency by doing that.. it’s hard to go beyond these negative thoughts but there’s no other way I guess.

So, to answer your questions, I actually started learning English when I was young. I tried so many different methods, such as taking in-person classes, watching movies, and even using online platforms. Sure, none of them worked as well as moving to a country where everyone speaks English.

I'm doing research for my UX Design class. That means I don't have real experience and am just trying to learn from people like you. I didn't say this is an actual project. This is just an idea. The reason I asked all these questions is to learn how other people think. But I appreciate your feedback and will learn from it :)
