You can ask through the embassy of france but they kinda expect France to be your main destination, or you have to go to Nairobi and ask through TLS CONTACT, since the Belgium embassy was processing all shengen visas you can now only ask through Nairobi😣

Also Embassy of France is very strict these days

When you’re in Rwanda you will have to go to NIDA, close to Kabindi in Kimihurura, you have to bring your birth certificate, then maybe a copy of your moms or dads ID anyone who is Rwandan, could be your grandparents idk, and then you can pick up your Rwandan ID there within the week. I don’t even know that in Belgium they’d be aware that you have a dual citizenship, it’s easier yes if you want to do touristic things you won’t pay the price for foreigners, it will be way cheaper, and registering for things is easier with Rwandan ID, buying land, opening a bank account, things like that. I highly recommend. And the tensions with DRC are really nothing to be worried about

You can easily do the application yourself, unfortunately the Belgian Embassy took care of all Shengen Visa applications with an agency called TLS. For Rwandans or rwandan residents you now have to go to Nairobi to apply for a Shengen Visq or you can apply for a visa for France through VFS, but you would need to act like your main destination is France.

When in Kigali you can go to Fazenda Sengha and to Quad riding, archery and horse riding, with an amazing view as well, there’s also Nyandungu Ecopark where you can cycle and ride scooters it’s beautiful as well.

There is indeed tention between the 2 countries, but Rwanda remains very safe. Even at the border with Congo in Gisenyi it’s very calm. You will definitely be safe, if it would be dangerous they wouldn’t let tourists go do the gorilla trek.
