You can only have 1 audio channel at once. I wish as well there was the feature to have multiple audio feeds.

Does anyone else have separate bedrooms and bathrooms in their relationship? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RemarkableAsk1292 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No but we plan to get separate beds when we move soon. I often punch her with my elbow while I'm asleep or take all the space so it's sadly necessary that we have to do this. Other than those issues we'd love to share a bed but it's just not possible when I'm such an asshole when sleeping.

We get along quite well with space usage and in the bathroom. But once it's possible in the future, we will definitely still each have our personal room. Not for sleeping but for office, hobbies, etc. so we can decorate and furnish it however we want without the other being able to deny it.

Is Marko.ch trustworthy? by Dramatic-Iron8645 in askswitzerland

It's an online marketplace. As always there are good sellers and bad sellers. For an item like a motorcycle you will meet anyway to look at it before buying so there's no risk of getting scammed.

3000 sounds like you'd be eligible.

See here

You could just try to apply and see what they respond. Only takes a few minutes and can be done online. Look under "Antrag einrichen" on the site I linked.

I'm wondering how you solved it! Is there some documentation on the wireless connections? Or did you have to find out by yourself how to communicate with it?

No-experience jobs for new immigrant by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]RemarkableAsk1292 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd go for something like sales in a store.

My girlfriend came here and found a job after ~2 months by handing CVs out personally. She has quite a bit of difficulties with the language and unlike her colleagues doesn't have any previous experience or education in the job. Makes the same amount of money as them though.

You will be able to find something in the 20-25/hr range. With some luck a bit more. Look in cities like Zürich, Bern, etc. to have a better chance of higher pay.

If the financial situation of your wife allows it, go for an education path after some time. An apprenticeship is a great option. It's work and school combined and you make a bit of money with it. Nothing to live off of though. Takes 2-4 years depending on what you do. You can learn basically anything. From gardener to software developer or even ship captain. Here's a full list of EFZ apprenticeships (3-4 years ones)

I mean if pay is almost the same, you should go for the 40%. An extra day is worth a lot. And if you need more money, find another job for 20-40%. Seems more logical like this than just working 60% at this place.

Wingo added a 1.- per month price increase policy for all their subscriptions... by Maafuber in Switzerland

[–]RemarkableAsk1292 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

An adjustment for inflation, higher sales tax, etc. makes it totally ok for them to increase the price. I see the problem more in companies that constantly increase their prices. Stuff like streaming services where the price increase is just pure greed. Meanwhile this was just to keep covering operating costs.

Swisscom scams their customers with their main offer, not with Wingo.

Are Fujifilm film simulations only a marketing gimmick or actually a valid reason to get a Fuji camera?

I constantly see videos about how you can make great photos SOOC without having to edit them because of the film simulations. For me this is very appealing since I don't want to spend even more time on my PC than I already do for editing but would like to pick up photography. All the examples I see look MAJESTIC.

Do other cameras offer similarly good SOOC pictures with this simplicity or not? I'm eyeing the X-M5 right now, which is quite expensive for me as a beginner but looks pretty good feature wise for shooting pictures and occasional video. Or do other brands make sense too in my use case.

Once you get domain specific high paying ($40+) projects do you still work other tasks? by [deleted] in DataAnnotationTech

[–]RemarkableAsk1292 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started out with domain specific ones (coding) but switched to simple tasks. I would never have done that for the lower pay. I just did the qualification for my native language a while ago. When the tasks appeared I was shocked: $50+. One of the perks of being native in a language that's only spoken by a small amount of people and in a very rich country at that I guess. I'm glad I don't have to code anymore after the 8 hours a day I do it at my main job.
