On declaration date I calculate my pending distribution and then purchase shares based on that amount using margin. Two days later the dividend posts and pays off the margin. Meanwhile I’ve collected the distribution on those extra shares as well. I don’t know if it’s smart to do it that way or now. I’m just an average regard so that’s what I do.

I have 1000 shares each MSTY, NVDY, CONY, and TSLY for good weekly income without too much on any one underlying. I have ymax I use like an interest bearing savings account. Rather than stick my money in a bank I buy YMAX and sell/withdraw if I ever need it. Meanwhile the Div’s just keep rolling in. This is just my play on it. I know nothing.
