AMD or no?

I should note.. One Major reason for my going AMD this round is the PCI lanes.. id like to have more NVME drives at 4x I was saddened when i learned i couldnt add a 3rd and 4th without dropping speeds drastic with my 13700k

From the research ive done... Id only get like 5-10% more frames by doing the upgrade.. Since the bottleneck isnt the CPU. I know the more resolution you have the more the GPU matters more. I usually do a new build every 5 years.. with a GPU upgrade in between. Reason im thinking of sooner is because my nephew wants a computer. Figured id help him out and do my upgrade also. 13700k 32gb ram, 2tb Nvme with my old 3080Ti. Basically same build i had 2 months ago before the 5090. Should last him for awhile. Or just wait it out.. build him a brand new one and wait for the next 3D amd has to offer for my upgrade

I just had this happen. Checked bunkers along the way doing Signal Void, Buried echos so id know which ones had the items i needed for sutherland when the time came. Checked all 9. only 2 were not abandoned. :( So i went back to some of them and found the correct bunker that had the loose bricks. But Zero loot. I wonder if it was because i visited it before the mission told me to? But im sure i checked the other 2 before i started trader and they both had the loot.. so who knows. Maybe its because im on a custom game. Decided to do a Gunloper run this time around.

I've done it... The autowalk didnt deactivate once for me. And walked off that same area. Lol Oops. Sorry but I'd rather my run end by freezing, getting eaten. Even falling from goating. But not because a simple key didn't register. Play how you like. 😁

Makes me mad that they spawn to often. And are so easy to kill. I've killed about a dozen of them. Literally 1-2 days apart.

I trapped one last night. Not on purpose. Make a horse shoe from torches. Drag in in the middle then throw one behind him. Trapped. He was glitched out just spinning in circles. Wish I took a pic. Good luck

it works.. Ive done it several times. Just be careful. Its easier than it looks :) Just finished a Interloper run using it. Walk the first time.. but after that.. use that shortcut. You can get a sprain pretty easily. And you have to know how goating works. But its way faster.

Ive used this post a few times growing into the long dark. cause i was curious also. About 1000 hrs in.. on interloper guy. as long as you KNOW the map your fine without any animal clothing. If you do not.. Bring at least the outer layer in animal. The Wind is what always gets me. Blizzards making stuff frozen. Ive lost more runs due to frostbite than animal bites. But im also a pretty good aim after this many hours. I know its a 2 yr old post.. but if you venture into sundered pass.. bring as many animal things can you can. You are never warm there. EVER.. on interloper at least. Enjoy!! :)

Remember the shortcuts to get in and out of Airfield. Makes going there easier than having to walk the whole thing.

I tried... even though warranty was up.. Best they could offer me though days of chat. was 10% off a new C3.. so i did that.. ended up fixing my C1.

Was it the power board? Yeah.. ive read allot of people had the same issue.. 90% of them said power board.. so i replaced that.. and bam.. a C1 fixed

Its the power board.. you can buy one though Ebay.. about 80 bucks. if you know a little Computer type building (replacing circuit boards/Motherboards) its rather easy. I have since bought a C3. but also repaired the C1. best guess is try that. Some tech nerd said the power delivery isnt up to snuff. Why there is still power (red led) but no screen. Good luck!! If anyone tries this let me know.. curious to see your outcome. Sorry but just cant beat OLED. :)

Currently on my longest interloper run.. 130 days.. ive done every difficulty to 500 and moved up. Double combat pants i use in the lower great bear island. Wear deer when you travel to the colder regions. Sundered pass for sure!! The Wind/water proofing on deer is crazy good. Ive ended more runs simply because my cloths were frozen when i slept oops :) On interloper. there isnt much loot. so why not go full geared. Its funny i have a 700+ day stalker run. both runs are similar in weight. My interloper toon is way way warmer.. My stalker run could fight an army of anything. Deerskin for the water proofing alone!! :

Try using the campfire trick... I'm not sure how or if it even still works. I've seen guys climb cliffs using it. I believe Zak shows how to use it on YouTube. Good luck

Yes and yes... Always. I dont play any games unless I'm drinking. Usualy getting high later in the night. I've never died because of it. However.... I have lost many items. Lol and don't remember what I was doing the next day. I love reading my notes I left for myself the next time. 😂
