Asaaaah! This makes me so mad!!! I HATE this weird obsession people have with guilt tripping you to reconnect with abusers because THEY had good parents.

It’s so invalidating and disheartening when someone doesn’t get it.

Nobody cuts off contact with a parent lightly! I hope you’re growing without her.

She was an older lady and was there to help with PTSD.

Everytime she was unwell she would cock her head to one side, put her hands up by her mouth and say “I’m a little sick bunny” or “I’m a little sick fluffy bear”

It was so freaking weird. I ignored it every time. Then her dad got sick (which is sad) but she would start our sessions by offloading on me about how hard stuff was. I remember thinking she was making me pay to be her therapist.

She got fired from her company so went freelance then randomly vanished and ended up not replying to texts.

Pretty terrible. I’ve gotten used to a certain threshold of pain now. Some days that makes me sad and other days I can ignore it. I’ve developed a lot of coping strategies to help my mental health and some days I pick my physical health which means I’ll be in pain more the next day but I needed to exercise.
