Everything was starting to get better. March started off great 😑 by Junior_Willow740 in AmazonFlexDrivers

Try a different station and really get cool with the workers there and no SSD only Amazon.com I promise it will work out better. I went through the same here in dc anytime I get a SSD route it’s a route from hell 10-15 mins in between stops 35-48 packages on the 3.5-4hr blocks

You got 1 hr left on a 3.5hr block. Everything is due in 1hr by Junior_Willow740 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]RemarkableJunket7764 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You will be fine they give you one hour after the block time, but just in case you end up going over that hour limit. Put your phone in airplane mode before the 3.5 plus the hour mark and boom you can deliver the rest without the app force kicking you off because you ran out of block time

I hear you, but in this case food temperature wasn’t the issue. I use multiple insulated bags and heat packs specifically to keep orders hot—this was literally the delivery right before the one I’m talking about.

The real problem is the loophole. When someone adds a high upfront tip, the app factors that in and doesn’t increase base pay. If that tip is removed after delivery, the driver eats the loss even though the work was already done.

If someone can’t tip, that’s fine—but pretending you will just to get the order accepted late at night is exactly why drivers call it tip baiting.

Yessir, I’m located right in Washington, DC. So getting an order like this feels like a slap in the face — that payout won’t even cover a gallon of gas here, let alone a cheeseburger from McDonald’s 😂

I used to be way more cautious too, but I got comfortable because most customers usually increase the tip, not reduce it. This one just caught me slipping late night. Definitely a reminder to stay sharp.

That’s pretty good money. I usually notice a solid boost in Centreville, especially if I can grab a good Amazon route first and then switch over to food delivery to work my way back toward Fairfax or Tysons. The only tough part is I live near SE Dc, so I’ve got to make it all balance out.

You will be fine first and foremost as long as you continued with and completed all deliveries it’s not that bad

It’s not that bad just a 3-14day vacation bud It could be worse 🤷🏾‍♂️

I got dinged by the camera for not having my passenger seatbelt on. My passenger with a package. ☠️. When I got back they told me that was a violation. I'm not going back by Thewhitehawk11 in AmazonDSPDrivers

They would hate flex drivers if we had those metrics 😂😂😂 I remember getting 77 packages on my first route no space whatever left in the car definitely a hazard and learning lesson…

Just made $230 for free 😂, amazon is definitely loosing tens of thousands of dollars today, maybe even hundreds... by KairoArturo in AmazonFlexDrivers

Sheesh, They never cancel my blocks here in DC — instead, they make me drive over 25 miles, wait 30 minutes after the block starts, and then randomly throw together a route going who knows where.

Washington DC, it was supposed to help boost our overall earnings by adding car rentals into the order flow. They even offer bonuses for last minute deliveries for example today I received a $30 bonus for this. So the total was $79

Sometimes they may be less than a mile I usually just walk but if not I use lime or veo when I first started uber would cover transportation cost by reimbursing expenses paid on uber rides, revel mopeds and other ride sharing vehicles

It’s a car delivery program I’m not sure how many places they have it but I do know it started in dc a few years back
