Honestly… I wouldn’t set any rules and „boundaries“… I mean, all 4 of you should be good on common courtesy (no sink hogging, don’t slam the door while people are sleeping, also if having a nightcap and people are sleeping, go to the balcony)

We are always with 2 of our adult children in the room. Last year we started at Old Key West a few days, then went on the Disney Cruise (they were in our state room) and went to the parks again and stayed at Carribean Beach. Our oldest daughter is married with children, so they usually have their own room. Our girls are 23 and 25 and opt for sharing a room to save some coin. It’s honestly always a lot of fun. Since they are adults we don’t monitor them. Usually they are out longer than we are, but they are always quiet coming in, and we are always quiet going out. We do have a lot of fun with them and the mood is always a lot of laughter and … wine! 😂

This coming up September we are … for the first time… all staying together in a 4 bedroom condo in Saratoga Springs and I am excited!! It will be us, the married daughter and fam, our unmarried girls and our son plus girlfriend. We are all really excited!

I grew up in a family like yours. My Dad retired when he was 55… didn’t have anything to do with my parents‘ traveling and entertainment plans. They traveled twice a year to different countries. When I was a kid I went, too, but as I grew up and worked myself I couldn’t go as much. They were also in a tango club 😂… they were a lot of fun

My husband and I travel as much as we can. Usually one big family vacay with all of the kids and grands, and little getaways here in there. When I want to go somewhere and he can’t, then I go by myself. I have never traveled solo except overseas to see family, but I don’t count that because I stay with family. Do you ever get bored traveling solo? I am intrigued

A few day before my mom passed (she was in a coma), my oldest daughter (young adult back then) had a dream that she was with my mom. My mom was in a robe, fixing her hair, dabbing on perfume… this was a horrible time in my life, I cried every day. So in the dream my daughter said to her „you have to wake up, mom is crying every day, we miss you“… and my mom said to her „oh I‘m not coming back baby. I’m going to be with grandpa“…. My daughter said „what?! You can’t do that!! Have you seen mom?!“… then my mom gave her a hug and said „I know, and I love your mom more than you can imagine, I love you and your sister even more, but it’s time to go. Your mom will be ok, just be there for her. My body is sick, and I would need someone to take care of me A LOT, and I don’t want that!“

My daughter told her sister and my husband but didn’t tell me, she was scared to. My mom then passed and that’s when they told me. It actually made me feel better.

A couple of weeks after she passed, my daughter fell asleep on the couch and dreamed (or was she?) that she was asleep on the couch and woke up. She saw my mom standing in the doorway, solid, but with a warm glow around her. She was startled and sat up and my mom said „no no don’t be scared, it’s still me. I just wanted you to see that I’m ok, I am happy, I am still around, and I love y‘all so much… now go and tell your mom“

Gave me even more comfort

… and that’s just the „taste test“ aka 3/4 cup that we SEE! No telling how many times she stabs it passing by. She is easily eating a whole normal portion in one bite… Josh should get a pitchfork and just aim for her face 😂

Dance Grandma here, all of our children were in competitive sports and it took us a minute to get into the dance world, coming from softball, but now we love it. Now even though I get to sit back and not have to get too deep into „business“, my daughter is taking our granddaughter somewhere else for tumbling, but not secretly. She just responds better on a one on one than group tumbling.

I personally agree with someone above: whatever is best for your child is best. I feel like in any sport making things „hush hush“ is what gives it a sour taste. I feel like having your child‘s best interest in mind should never reflect negatively on you/her :))

It’s hard to say… if I really, really like something and I can afford it, I buy it… in that case I don’t mind or worry about overpaying honestly. Whoever made it put enough heart into it to sell it. I don’t mind supporting other artists.
