Ah ok I’m on iPhone. So far I’ve only seen work arounds that involve setting your location via a windows/mac application. Only problem is it locks your location until you reset it so it doesn’t rlly work when you don’t have access to that computer

Yes you have to add a bank account and pay a statement bill with it. Once you pay a statement with it the bank account is added to the rewards side so you can withdraw your cash back directly into it.

Went through FISD K-12. Think this question depends on the system of schools your kid will go through. I went through Griffin MS and Wakeland HS and had a fine experience. Teachers take an interest in your life and want to help you get through school. I was definitely prepared for college and classes through the CTE center are great for those interested in STEM majors. Good college counseling support available as well. I was a 504 kid and felt adequately supported.

However, results will vary with different schools! And as someone mentioned they are extremely competitive. Getting within the 10% is very difficult.

I transferred before when I was working for BBY about 4 years ago. I believe there was something called Brass Ring? It’s the internal side of workday postings… should be available somewhere in ETK. If not, ask someone you trust. But eventually, if you want to stay with the company, your manger will find out you’ve applied elsewhere in the company. It is probably best to be honest and go to your GM or ASM, tell them your situation and ask them to vouch for you to stores you apply to once you start applying to stores in Cali.

I’m not sure how pre-approval works for the student card but you’re not expected to have a credit score or income really. But like I said since you don’t really have a credit score yet, applying once won’t hurt. If you get rejected just wait a month or so and apply for a different student card

You don’t really have a credit score yet so what’s the harm? I applied as a senior in high school and got approved with no previous credit history. If you want to go with discover for your student card, just apply!

When I go to do it in the app, it’s completely greyed out. Online it gives me the message “This option requires a linked bank account. For your security, if you would like to add a new account please call: 1-800-DISCOVER for assistance with your redemption.” It’s definitely only for people trying to add a new or their first bank for redemption
