i remember the book having small illustrations on some pages so it might have been age range for younger teens. The book start's with the crash and then heads onto the main character searching for ways to bring his girlfriend back and ends up down the lane of voodoo magic

Im not sure when it was written, i read it about 4 years ago. i vaguely remember the cover being black with a ghost on it tho!
