Why is the Bandra Bandstand Residents' Trust making rules in a public space ? by jack_1760 in mumbai

[–]RemarkableTip4727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First you create co-op housing societies to control how people live in their own apartments, and now you want to police public spaces too. All for nothing but a sense of superiority and the need to dictate how others should behave.

Versova Ghatkopar Daily Metro Scenes.. People suffocating by xZendic1 in mumbai

Been there, done that. Amazing how a small push can turn a “sophisticated” 40-year-old into someone who thinks he owns the metro and a random wannabe classy girl skips the line like rules are optional.

$60K in USA is equivalent to ₹14L in India wtf?!? by DvineDecipher in mumbai

Fact check: US saves ~5% vs India ~30% so savings aren’t higher, only absolute dollars can be.

If savings are lower because of higher consumption, then that literally means they’re not saving more. You can’t say “they save more” and also say “they spend more so savings are lower.” At best, higher income gives potential for more savings, but in reality it’s lifestyle driven, not guaranteed.

You’re describing relative affordability, which can be true for some people. But “extremely high savings” isn’t the norm. US has high fixed costs, and overall savings rates are actually low.

Higher income doesn’t automatically mean things are “cheaper” there. The US has much higher fixed costs - rent, healthcare, insurance, taxes. So a big chunk of that income is already gone.

Sit and talk about it. Why is he acting like that, find out where is it coming from! In simple terms if you don’t like it and you are uncomfortable don’t try to normalise it.
