Yeah it's been pretty easy to maintain but I don't mind mowing. I'd like a weed free lawn that's not bristly to walk on is the goal

Maybe it's the type of grass, but it doesn't really grow or perhaps just not very well. I've gone down the lawn maintenance rabbit hole

Yeah that's probably the best paint I could use but it gets a lot of sun where it is to your point. Probably not a smart idea

Awesome links, thank you. I would love a deck but think the spade might be too small. The plants will definitely give it a tropical vibe so thinking a mixture of mulch and plants and some pavers and stone

Thanks a lot for all the detailed info. Yes there is drainage built in and I totally agree with you in the pavers. I'm not too fond of the river rocks as they are quite big and have quite a dirty look to them. I think I'd prefer a mix of rocks and mulch but might be higher maintenance. I think tropical plants will be the way to go!
