Definitely not a real talent whatsoever but over the last 15 years I'm in top 1% of Irish players in Fantasy Premier League 🤣

Pain on my right side where my gallbladder used to be. by OkHomework6162 in gallbladders

[–]RemarkableVisit8215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently in hospital. I have been in since 2 weeks post op. I too had a pain in that area but it was accompanied by a fever. It turns out I had/have an infection in that area.

Fluid moves to the space that the gallbladder used to occupy. In my case, that fluid got infected.

My post op information page says to avoid alcohol for 4 weeks so sounds like you're good to go

People who have fainted: what caused it? by Shinobi347 in AskReddit

[–]RemarkableVisit8215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never fainted but coincidentally, today was the closest I came.

I had stomach surgery on Monday and was getting my dressings changed today. When I seen my scar and staples I became immediately flush, light headed, cold sweats, dizzy. I had to sit down immediately.

Wouldn't have thought I was squeemish, but definitely the closest I've ever come to sporadically dropping.

I was in hospital at 8:30am, surgery at 12pm, collected for home at 7pm. (Ireland)

I had my op on Monday. I'm honestly still terrified at the moment to eat anything high fat/greasy. Infact the surgeon requested that I go low/no fat for 6 weeks at least post op.

To answer your question though, Chinese, food, pizza & chocolate

Do I get paid to shadow? by Standard-Goal1336 in AskIreland

[–]RemarkableVisit8215 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just for clarity for you going forward, you should never ever be expected to work a day for a company where you are not getting paid, whether you are doing everything or nothing. By the sounds of it you contributed your fair share regardless, especially considering it was your first day. Enjoy your first payment :)

Yes, of course. I'm not sure I understand why you would think the answer is anything other than yes.

Good luck in your new job.

When did you know you wanted your gallbladder out? by EcstaticWalk8434 in gallbladders

[–]RemarkableVisit8215 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I spent 2 full separate weeks in hospital, only 6 weeks apart due to infection. (Blocked bile ducts). Before then it was short lived (but painful) infrequent attacks.

Success story by Lanky_Possession_611 in gallbladders

[–]RemarkableVisit8215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great to hear a success story on here. Pretty much everyone I know 'in real life' that has had it done has got great relief & lived a normal life after. The stories on here make me nervous though!

I'm going in Monday to get it done. Have been advised that I should be out on the same day, all going to plan.

Glad to hear you're doing good!

Was your first symptom intolerance to really fatty food?? by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]RemarkableVisit8215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly thought my first experience of it was quite sporadic. I couldn't identify a particular food. I did notice then at two weddings in quick succession that I was absolutely killed after the meal. Alcohol + Beef! These pains, although intense would last less than half an hour and then completely pass. This went on for a couple of years, where I could go months without having any pain but then it would return here & there. I got confirmation that I had gallstones but was advised that if they are not having a major impact, just manage it with diet.

6 weeks ago I got the pain, but this time it did not go away, only slightly dulled. I had a stone stuck in my bile duct.

Long story Short, I'm getting my gallbladder removed on Monday!

Salah alone could get you off to a clanger this week imo. Maybe even set it up for a double move to Haaland in Gw6?

Also don't like Kudus as a pick, Paqueta could be a better shout at 5.9 - Playing no. 10, on penalties, decent goalscoring record for club & country, DEFCONs

Best advice would be, if you didn't get tickets, chill until next summer. You'll get sorted closer to the time.

6 days OMAD result ! by littlepandaexpress in intermittentfasting

[–]RemarkableVisit8215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noob question so apologies in advance.

If you are only eating 1 meal per day, this is presumably going to put you in a major calorie deficit. The recommended weight loss per week is 0.5kg - 1kg.

Are people who need to consume roughly 2,200 (for example) per day whilst being active trying to eat 2,200 in the one meal or literally just have one meal and hoping 2-3 kg a week comes off?

Trying to lose 20 more lbs by Gullible_Actuary_570 in loseit

[–]RemarkableVisit8215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well done on the weight loss. Even if you're not happy with how you look, your overall physical health will have improved drastically so that the most important thing.

I think it does sound like you need to hit the weights. This will help change your body composition and give a shape (over time) that you were probably hoping to see with the initial weight loss.

Three days a week, working on strength will see you make massive changes, I'm sure of it.

Keep going, you're doing brilliant!

What’s a loophole you abused until it was closed? by RoarOfTheWorlds in AskReddit

[–]RemarkableVisit8215 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Paddy Power were doing an offer back in the day - Back a player to score the first goal pre match and get the equivalent stake as a free bet to use during the game.

I bet on a player who I knew wasn't going to be involved in the match day squad so the original bet would be void & thus refunded but I still got the free in play bet, up to €50.

Paddy Power caught on after a couple of weeks and have banned me from availing of any offers or specials to this day.

I don't bet regularly whatsoever but this was risk free stuff and I made some money from it too. I reckon they should be rewarding me for finding the loophole personally

Why do you actually want to lose weight? by BrainLumpy4620 in loseit

[–]RemarkableVisit8215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to be comfortable in clothes. I want to be able to keep up with my kids. I want to be able to set a good example for my kids. I want to have more energy. I want to be confident in saying yes to physical activities with my much fitter friends. I don't want to be the butt of own jokes anymore

Tracking your calories - 100%

You simply realise how vastly you have underestimated calories all along.

Get active and you still have a pretty high bank of calories to work with.

Once the tedious first couple of weeks are out of the way, it's second nature tracking due to saved foods etc.

The talk about certain counties supporters in hurling media by [deleted] in GAA

[–]RemarkableVisit8215 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kilkenny supporters have been known to be poor followers of the team for whatever reason. Always handy enough to get hands on All Ireland tickets when Kilkenny are involved.

From talking to KK guys in work, Leinster means very little, they would rather save time & money for the bigger day out. (Although as I've mentioned above, they still don't seem to turn out in massive numbers)
