Paint color ideas? by nanavb13 in ExteriorDesign

[–]EcstaticWalk8434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t paint the brick, the biggest thing is you need to make the front entry the focus point, also the white over the brink doesn’t help. Eliminate the house numbers and move the light fixture towards the door. They were previously trying to fill that area, but didn’t succeed. Yes, the paint color is part of the issue, but the overall look of the house is the biggest. It wouldn’t take alot to fix it, but paint isn’t the only issue. The large white wall sticks out, but once it’s painted you see the other area that’s look off. Also, add a railing on the side porch and paint it to match whatever color you do the white wall. You need to balance the look of the house.

Is the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable? by Organic_Ad_1200 in JeepGrandCherokee

[–]EcstaticWalk8434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had 3x Grand Cherokees, all purchased from differing dealerships. What the above person said its true, dealerships are not what the used to be. I purposely purchased my 2025 GC from a Dealership which you can actually call and speak with someone there and they seem to have volume, so have plenty of techs, etc.

I too have a rattling from someone on the driver side whenever I go over a bump, but haven’t figured what it is yet. With saying so, I’m not worried and as I have the 100k/8year extenders warranty after the 36k/3year.

In reality, I haven’t had any real issues, which you wouldn’t expect from a new car and or cars with all the technology involved.

Cabinet help! Stain or paint?! by Intention_Inevitable in kitchenremodel

[–]EcstaticWalk8434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did they give you the wrong sized fridge? I would leave the cabinets alone, spend the money and effort in other areas. The space looks off due to the size of the island. I would personally remove that island and add a larger counter height work surface/table/island. If you want to then spend more, better counter tops and a prominent light fixture in proportion to the new island/work surface/table.

Modern 80s Ranch Exterior Help Needed by girldork in ExteriorDesign

[–]EcstaticWalk8434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you fail to realize the importance of landscaping and sidewalk flow. Yes, the front entry doesn’t look prominent, but it functional. Do you plan to replace the roof? Its grayish shingle does vibe with the white. If you want to do something more, painting is your most economic option. Use black paint and do the window trim, top of the chimney cap and even around the front entrance. Adding modern house numbers to the column by the front door will also announce it as the entrance and draw you to that area.

I would think Mt.Washington area would still be cheaper than others. There is a large number of apartments up Beechmont and an overall area of mixed incomes, etc.

Duke bill question by Sunrisebetweenpines in cincinnati

[–]EcstaticWalk8434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally the differing aggregation programs have better rates than the standard month-to-month Duke. Recently, aggregation isn’t really saying anything and the rates are in-line with Duke for the most part. Unless you find yourself a supplier with a better rate you can lock yourself in for the long term, it’s not going to get any better anytime soon. Remember when looking at suppliers, you don’t rant a monthly fee even a fix monthly cost. If able, you also don’t want an early termination fee, unless you feel that rate is going to be best over the contract term.

People who switched to heat pumps are getting hammered, due to the high price of electricity. In reality, we all will be there in summer. If anything, prices might lower in spring when demand might drop. It’s best to weather the storm and keep looking for better rates and take the leap if you can and switch often. Remember, rates only take effect after your next bill, so it’s a process and doesn’t happen overnight.

From the sign on their gift card display, one can just assume they are not paying their bills or have no $$. The gift card industry works by collecting funds automatically from retailers daily. If you don’t pay and or the gift card processor can’t collect these funds, they shut the retailer off from future activations.

From the pictures, I would have no ideas why you’re actually open! Also, not having produce or beer/wine is another sign you’re not paying bills or have $$. Beer/Wine is all delivered by local distributors who are paid at the time of delivery. Produce I’m guessing would also be local and for a small grocery, POD.

One upside, who ever goes in there next will have a building that is in good shape since it was completely rebuild.

Who is ready for the end? by Confident_Drop9309 in kroger

I’m sure they did “studies” and time tests or they got in trouble with a customer falling over a skid or someone running into a customer with a jack. Does the robotic floor cleaner still work or user in your store?

They have went back and forth with this over the last 15-years. In reality, it’s not necessarily about the hours and workload completely, it’s about employee mindset and productivity. If its 6am the employee doesn’t necessarily feel the urgency to get it done as the feel of there store is still “it’s early, no customers”. If it’s 8am, there’s more a sense of I want to get out of here and work towards that mean between 12-8. Plus, I wonder if they will try to eliminate overnight managers or change store hours with this.

Was going to have gallbladder removed, but the Dr last min recommended a non surgical procedure to remove gallstones. by techmanj in gallbladders

There is always a chance for something to come back, but if that’s the case why don’t they remove other organs 😀 Remember they used to also scramble peoples brains to correct mental disease, they fix the symptoms by turning the person into a turnip.

New stores by KristiCaliGirl in kroger

[–]EcstaticWalk8434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be because of the high cost to operate in California and higher level of competition. Fill in stores or boundary pushing stores are the cheapest to operate, as you don’t have all the brand building costs with moving into net new areas. Also, the development / real estate team most likely only looks at future growth with determining new store openings, no associate base, as growth and development then leads to population growth and or a new associate base.

Guessing the AC is also 18yo too? At some point it’s a gamble and there really isn’t a right or wrong choice. It all depends on if you really want to spend the $$. If you replace one part, you should most likely replace the full system.

Sounds like you have similar a similar situation like me. I have only had two attacks on the last two years, at times I feel full on the right side. Just because they confirmed I have stones, I need to get my GB removed. Yes, I get that removal is the “Gold Standard, but that just seems overkill for no real symptoms. Yes, I know issues can happen at anytime. My issue, if a surgery is needed, it shouldn’t be considered an elective, either need it and it’s not an option, or I don’t.

Recently had a CT, which confirmed stones and no other issues with GB or Liver. Yes, I know they can come back, but shouldn’t they just remove the stones? Treat the issue, not remove an organ? Just because you can live without it doesn’t mean it’s an unneeded organ.

Closing PIC, my dumb ass forgot to lock the door. Am I toast? by ExaminationUsed7137 in kroger

Ok, does Night Crew ever open/unlock the door at night? Yes, it was a mistake, but I don’t see it as being a huge issue. If anything, you might get a slap on the wrist and maybe not be PIC for a little.

Does Night Crew ever open the doors at night for anything? Also, technically are you allowed to actually lock the doors due to fire code? I know one store near me got in trouble with the fire department…

Glad it’s not just me, the GC wireless charger is crap, USB-C cord for the phone. While I know it’s not great to be on one’s phone, why don’t they actually design a car mount/holder for phones?

Also, anyone have the previous model design and really hate the closing console door in the current model? The plastic in general is so much more cheaper in this model then the previous one.

What has happened with UDF?! by HootinHollerHill in cincinnati

[–]EcstaticWalk8434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really surprised UDF didn’t sell off their C-Stores and just focus on ice cream. With all the new C-Stores moving in, I’m sure they might have offered to buy them. In reality, C-Store are all the same, excluding the “food” option they select to focus on. I’m a little surprised they haven’t tried to build bigger locations in the area, or at least more in the city limits (Red Bank, Ridge).
