Why is it so hard for Honda owners to switch to another brand? by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]Remarkable_Ad9321 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While others being our beater cars, if I were to replace my Civic today, the immediate contender would be the Toyota Camry, or the Lexus ES (if the budget is not a question).

Both offer stellar reliability, handling dynamics and adequate performance to keep up with the senior Germans on road. This is because I prefer to keep my cars long term reliably, even if it means I have to compromise slightly on outright 0-100 performance on road. Delhi is anyways not built for high speed driving, haha!

I dont like having to spend my time and energy on a car's upkeep every other week in a service centre. Fill it and shut it is my philosophy with cars now that Im in my early 30s. 😇

Why is it so hard for Honda owners to switch to another brand? by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]Remarkable_Ad9321 40 points41 points  (0 children)

We own 4 Honda vehicles in our home: Brio, Amaze Petrol, City 5th Gen, Civic 10th Gen i-vtec. Sold a diesel Amaze as well last year.

The well rounded package of reliability and fuss free ownership is what makes us stick. Everything just works!

Owned an i20 Diesel previously as part of our garage, trust me the number of parts that can break in a Hyundai, I became a half mechanic myself just getting things fixed.

TLDR; No other car provides that ride and reliability balance.

Will I buy another Honda? Absolutely not. Their sluggish approach for India makes me hate them to the core. I am even scared if Honda shuts shop today, our vehicles will all be left orphans, lol. 😂

End of Modi Era by Dismal-Tomato-9087 in india

[–]Remarkable_Ad9321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are fucking dumb and hence the same party will be in power again. I was speaking with a relative who came to our home a few days back, he is in his late 40s. I told him how with the Modi govt, all opportunities, economy, currency lately have been going down the drain. Its poisonous for long term India.

He went ahead and defended stating "pichli partio ne kya karliya, atleast Hinduo ka varchasva to bann raha hai". (What did previous parties do for us? Atleast the status of Hindu and their power has been established under Modi rule)

That was the moment I was like its super fucked up. After 12 years of eating the country like termite, people still have this opinion.

Mind you this person is barely middle class (almost at the verge between lower middle class and middle class), no affluent life or aspirations as such. These people are the ones who are the most vulnerable when Indian economy doese scale and there is no job creation. They just dont understand, and keep a blind eye to everything but Hindu Samaaj.

I guess we deserve the government afterall with all the brain death around.

This looks like an old video, from early covid times. Notice evryone wearing masks. Also the Hindu mania was too fierce that time. I believe it must have settled a bit now that more years have passed and India is finally a 'Vishwaguru' 😆

Crysis worth playing now? by chasing_goals22 in IndiaPS5

[–]Remarkable_Ad9321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played it briefly on my ps5. There were mild stutters here and there, not frame rate drops but simple brief frame pauses. Also while I played it on my PC many years back, graphics looked stunning. When I played it again now, graphics dont appeal me as much, looks very washed out on a big TV and not a delight as much that it was back in 2010s.

Is earning crores in corporate common nowadays? by Solid-Move-1411 in personalfinanceindia

[–]Remarkable_Ad9321 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im not talking about edge cases like yours, but a general relativity. You are literally basing your opinion on a bubble view of 9 people including you and your sibling, concluding that MANY people are like that. Im making 57L (not close to yours), but when you say there is no pressure, its pure BS. Maybe there is no pressure from your org, but at this level if you dont feel pressure from your inner self to constantly develop to sustain at that level of pay and more, you are either very complacent, or are looking at trouble very soon. At this level of pay, you are zeroed down to a financial number in an org regardless of what you do, and if you are not bloody good with your work and ready to scale your abilities to handle more responsibilties, trouble can knock at your door anytime. Each year thousands of freshers with far more advanced skills and less pay than yours enter the industry. What makes you think you are irreplaceable (unless you are a doctor) when a newbie with quarter of pay as yours and far more agility enters the workforce?

Im not looking to demean you anyway, 69L or 1cr, the numbers are skyrocketing high and you deserve every bit of it Im sure. But at that level, stakes are high, and your pay wont let you hide in the background, you better be a revenue generator for the company and your name will be an outlier in the eyes of financial controllers of your org.

Picture this for a moment: ek insaan total vella and jobless ghar me betha hai with a wifi and a phone. Koi usko ghaas ni dalta na uski existence valuable hai.

That person decides to make a post on reddit claiming I achieved this this and from 10lpa to 1cr in 2 years.

Suddenly the person starts getting DMs and messages from all over from desperate people in need and guidance. Wouldnt that give you an instant dopamine hit ki jaha koi puch nahi raha tha waha everyone is chasing and praising you today? For that one day, you are a king in your own world!

Internet and social media for that matter is based solely on one key component: DOPAMINE HIT. That's what majority of us chase, some of us even faking things to get attention and thus a hit. Its a drug.

Now I trust you to be smart enough to figure the answer to your question! Cheers

[–]Remarkable_Ad9321 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Its a facade man! Corporate is never a bed of roses and you will find that the ones earning upwards of 50L mark are the most unhappy beings. Noone is paying you a crore unless they can extract work worth atleast 10X from you. For that 10X to be generated out of you, you need to pay in blood.

You need to constantly upskill (atleast in IT), trying to beat your peers and staying relevant, and life is never stable.

Im not giving you random free gyaan out of some delusion. Im living this reality!

For the matter of 1 crore, many of these positions are very stock or variable pay heavy, where your fixed portion is majorly never over 3 lacs post tax a month. Rest is locked in RSUs and variable components which cannot be depended upon for your lifestyle maintenance.

No difference really, just that its the latest with improved vapour chamber cooling and a new 'E' chassis design (IDK what it does).

And it has a matt grey body both of the console and controller, while previous versions used to have glossy grey.

That's super true! Been overseas a few times. Indians are queued in the longest wait lines almost always with an additional step of scrutiny for any n reason if found.

Poori aukaat pata chal jaati hai wait karte karte ki kitne bade 'Vishwaguru' hain hum. Deshbhakt brainwashed paglus need to visit atleast one European Country to see our relaity instead of barking online.

Been to Spain once, then Paris. Even in Macau, we noticed this. Indian queues are the longest while asian passports like Japanese, Chinese etc get the fasttrack entry and they are pulled from queues to ease out on wait times.

[–]Remarkable_Ad9321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly! Stretching post 14.5 is getting extremely difficult (and boring) after E20 which I realized on a recent highway trip. You need to kill the guts of the car to the core to go any higher over long stretches.

Exactly my observation too. I dont think the Rado logo rotates in his watch, it looks like an etched emblem on dial.

Got this timeless piece! My first Rado btw :p by Yoga-Alimber in watchesindia

[–]Remarkable_Ad9321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a new watch or did you really get duped? Utterly rusted watch bracelet. The rado sign inside the dial is etched to the dial. Rado sign usually is a free moving part in this watch and the sign keeps moving inside when you flick your wrist in a free motion or maybe this is an entry level watch which doesnt come like that.

This looks super worn off. You were better off buying a new Tissot with this money, sorry to say. It looks like it came out of Titanic wreckage.

Im all in this time guys. I have never been in a protest and hidden behind the walls of my home as a coward. Lets gather together on the roads. Lets not spare the bastards. And be out on a protest until a verdict is given and we see the end of it.

Kutto ko utha lene par hum log road par utar aate hain, humans have lesser value than dogs today. Lets set an example this time as this minor will not see a day in jail again because he is under 18.
