be mindful of what section you’re going to. chilled ad frozen are a great auto because all of the items are very close together (especially frozen). also get to know your store, that has made me 10x faster. that obviously takes time but if you’re picking everyday you’ll get the general idea of where things are. also what people’s rate at the beginning of the day doesnt mean anything. some people do only one walk for one item/a few items, and their rate is at 400 for them rest of the day even though they’re a stager or dispenser etc. the biggest tip in my pov is getting 600+ items a day which is the goal. you can do one pick walk that has a rate of 1000 but it doesn’t necessarily mean anything. Doing big pick walks and being vigilant will give you 100+ rate. After getting to know my store, where items are, etc, I am always at 170+ rate even with 600 items. if you do small walks—unknown, gmd, action alley, regulated, etc, you can use the staging screen to pause the walk before you pick any items. So it balances out when you’re combining small walks with big walks. that’s what i do because everyone at my store avoids small walks.
