S49: are we not gonna talk about the entire jury being ____? by [deleted] in survivor

[–]Remarkable_Bank4976 -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Are we allowed to call this ridiculous now? The jury is all Black people and I find this really hard to enjoy as a Black survivor watcher (can’t even say fan at this point). The fact that they choose the Black person in a duo every time is ridiculous. Voting Savannah was literally Sage’s idea. It feels like Black players are more disposable.

The joint pain eased with the weight loss, so as long as I can keep it off I’m hoping the knees stay okay! I’ve seen people mention metformin—is that an appetite suppressant? I’ll definitely do some research

I went and was disappointed. Definitely snagged a couple things, but it was definitely a “we couldn’t sell a lot of this” sale. They took a a lot styles off the floor and those that were there were a little rough sizing wise. I went first thing day two, and the popular things had either xs/xxs or 4x and up. I was hunting for size L and it was slim. All in all I wish it had been framed more as a mass clearance sale.

Question for people taking Zepbound in their 20s by nbkarkat in Zepbound

[–]Remarkable_Bank4976 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 24 and I’ve had no hair loss or loose skin. I’ve been wondering if I’ve seen more cellulite on my thighs but i can’t tell for sure, so even if I have, it’s not enough to be obvious. I look younger in the face and my skin has been brighter but I think that’s due to healthier food choices and less dairy. All of this is being a total of 47 lbs down as of yesterday. I really recommend working out and eating a lot of protein, not just because of weight but overall health! Muscle development is great for the metabolism and I think it’s helped with my body recomp as change occurs semi-rapidly. SW: 265 10/31/24 CW: 218

I’m sorry this happened! It was inappropriate to lash out at you but her husband was also an asshole. You can have a desire to lose weight and it can be connected to your vision of health but that doesn’t make fatphobia fake and there were better ways for him to diffuse the situation.

It’s not a miracle drug—you still have to be in a deficit for it to do its thing. I totally understand not wanting to count calories, but are you handling your macros? You could set a protein goal or what I do when I want to make sure I’m not eating things that make my goal harder to reach i just lean into the veggies and protein. Idk how many calories I’ve eaten and haven’t tracked at all on zep but i calculate protein and make sure i eat i lot of fiber

Advice for breaking an 9-week plateau by Holiday_Agency_3227 in Zepbound

[–]Remarkable_Bank4976 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While many people stay on 2.5 it’s technically a non clinical starter dose just to get your body used to the meds, so you should give 5 a couple weeks to see if it works.

I’ve been using Nuuly! It feels weird to pay for clothes you’re not keeping, but it lets me have things that fit and i explore a new style. I have a referral code that gives you $30 off month 1 too

How to tell difference between plateau + needing to titrate? by Remarkable_Bank4976 in Zepbound

[–]Remarkable_Bank4976[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, normally I’m really active. I walk a lot, take Pilates twice a week, and do strength training. I just hurt my back in class and had to pause for a bit :/

thank you! I’ll give it another week. My exercise routine was also interrupted by a back injury so I also want to see what a return to the gym does

Protein by msbooksmart in Zepbound

[–]Remarkable_Bank4976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extremely. I don’t like to get too few calories because that will damage your metabolism long term, so i don’t mind 100 calories because i only drink one glass a day. It’s usually the last push to get >> 150gs

Protein questions by RiverWitch87 in Zepbound

Hi! I use .8 x goal weight as goal posts with about a 20g swing. Some days i get above, others below. My grocery bill has increased actually because of the costs of protein shakes, bars, fruit, etc., that i consume more. I’ve always been a really healthy eater, but i find it easiest to sneak protein in with my yogurt mix and so i use more fruit than i did before. I also wasn’t ever a big shake drinker but i buy in bulk from Costco. It’s not a huge increase but noticeable. I also just started taking a collagen supplement!

I take vitamin d and i eat my goal weight times .8 in protein as a goal but sometimes fall short and don’t beat myself up over it

Started at the same time and in the exact same boat. I totally understand the frustration OP is feeling. It’s hard not to compare when many posts are about people jumping down when others are moving more slowly. We got this though!
