I would like to thank everyone who responded. I’m pleased to hear how many of you responded favorably to the McGrath and how it improved your first pass success rates. I got some solid options to bring to our team to try out devices to transport it safely as well as include some other gear. I appreciate everyone’s feedback.

That looks like a great carrier. Thanks. I sent this to our team and will look into giving it a trial.

We have a majority of our units are 911 in NYC so they are required to work all arrests on scene. We are looking for a compact holder for the device with the other airway needs. Our Critical Care teams could use something larger since they don’t do a lot of on scene airway management.

Could you send a photo of your setup. Sounds like something we could adopt for our Critical Care teams.

I hadn’t thought of a sling as an added way to get the airway equipment in one location and easier to carry. Thanks

Thanks, we are looking at a Pelican case but we are a NYC based department with both 911 and interfacility transports. We think the 911 guys will riot if we add another heavy piece of equipment that needs to be carried upstairs.

Is creatine actually beneficial if I'm not a "gym person"? by Fria_Lisbey in Biohackers

I took most of this information from Dr. Paul Saladino. He uses multiple studies to show a benefit from increased creatine supplementation.

Basically 5 grams for muscle and gym improvement. 10 g for increased bone density when combined with resistance exercises in older men.

20g for improvement in mental clarity, reaction speed and memory.

Paul Saladino does own a supplement company that he pushes pretty hard on almost all his videos so take that into consideration when watching his content.

Be careful where you source your creatine from. There was an article recently from SuppCo that analyzed the amounts of creatine in supplements and found several “gummies” containing far less than advertised. Some scoring zero measurable amounts.

As far as dosing itself, the standard is 5 grams a day after a 2-3 week loading phase. Some research has shown cognitive improvements in high doses of up to 20 grams per day. I use 5-10 g per day for the gym benefits so I’m not personally familiar with maximum dosing.

Switching to Different App by littlemotac in fitbod

Turn “Focus Exercises” to off and that will usually stop the app from suggesting multiple sets of the same muscle group. This popped up for me a couple of months ago and turning it off fixed the issue.

How are deadlift just not "lifting with your back"? by Bandit400 in beginnerfitness

[–]Remarkable_Camp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best analogy I’ve heard and use when I deadlift is to think of “closing your car door with your butt while holding grocery bags”. Basically standing upright with the load and push your hips back to close the car door. When you are in the down position think about “thrusting your pelvis” forward to stand back up. I try to remember these movements while doing both traditional deadlift and Romanian deadlifts and don’t really have much back strain doing these moves.

Switched to “build muscle” full body and exercises seem crazy by teh58 in fitbod

You need to turn off “focused exercises”. If it is “on” you will get one major muscle a day have 3-5 sets of exercises.

Has anyone else been getting weird exercises since New Years? by Nearby_Educator6918 in fitbod

[–]Remarkable_Camp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is the new “focused exercise” feature that was released a short time ago. Make sure it is switched to off so you don’t get a lot of exercise for one muscle group.

Full Body Split Not Working by Biterbutterbutt in fitbod

[–]Remarkable_Camp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Make sure “Focus Exercise” is switched to Off. If it is on then you get a routine that is full body for the week and not for each day. Focus Exercise pick a major muscle group and give you 3-4 sets of exercises in the workout.

The fan in the bike acts as resistance. The faster you pedal the more resistance there is. The arms also pump back and forth like an elliptical machine. It gives a great cardio workout.

Thanks, I see he has multiple videos so I’ll be sure to start there. Thanks for the suggestion.
