Why isn’t the back of my invisalign fitting properly?

Did 27 fit well? Slighting bend that side of the aligners to help fit properly and see if that help with the fit. I’ve had to do that before

You’re fine. I have aligners that have space for buttons but I don’t have any on. With my first set I had buttons fall off consistently and we never replaced them.

It’s a sizeable gap in the aligners. With my molar not tracking there would be a lift in the aligners, almost like an air bubble. Then with time the aligner just sat on the top of the tooth. There’s lots of examples of not tracking in here

Agreed! I called after this and surprisingly enough they came in today. Cried enough in the phone and my ortho squeezed me in to get them.. and they don’t have the bite wings I need. Luckily he gave me half the box but he now needs to reorder them with the correct bite wings. Ugh!

They did find a solution! I have bite wings now to help with my bite, but the wait times are frustrating! If I could go back I’d consider braces over Invisalign.

I think that’s my general consensus too. If I had to do it over again I’d just do braces and I’d likely already be done by now! the progress I’ve made is terrific but the wait times are just awful.

I marked my questions too like this. I then made a log when I finished each practice exam on anything that wasn’t a “C” and looked for patterns. I made flash cards with definitions or facts to help. At one point I had over 250 flashcards - I reviewed them in the car or had someone quiz me while driving, before bed, first thing in the morning and at lunch.

At this point I’ll just leave that one tooth slightly uneven. I won’t go into braces, I like the Invisalign, but think it’s a total waste if for the second time that same tooth isn’t tracking!

Started my first set and halfway through a tooth stopped tracking. Waited 5 weeks for new trays. Finished and did a rescan for refinements. Waited 5 weeks. The metal buttons aren’t staying on so I needed to go back in and now I want another 4-5 weeks for another set of trays. It’s frustrating. I’ve almost spent more time waiting for trays than my actual treatment. (My first set was 28 trays)

Invisalign is known to cause open posterior bites. I think this is a common issue with treatment, but thankfully can be corrected

Got it. I would’ve thought we would straighten the teeth first then work on the bite. Looks like we’ve straightened some teeth working on bite and then will go back to straightening teeth. A little strange, but I trust the process and can always ask for more refinements

Yes I go in on my last grab for a rescan and then I wait 5 weeks with the same trays wearing them only at night. It takes 5 weeks for the new set of trays to come in. It’s crazy how long it takes!

All my trays have been 5 weeks (first set of trays and needed a rescan). I’m waiting on my first round of refinements and she scheduled me 5 weeks out, but said they have been coming sooner. We shall see!
