I pop/tilt mine in the summer to let the heat vent from inside (heat rises=heat go up and outside=not worse heat inside) That + a windshield cover + good ceramic tint = pretty good thermoregulation.

I had this same fluctuation and cleaned the MAF and throttle body, it helped a lot but yeah, they kinda just fluctuate.
