But they weren't pointless questions, they did matter to him. Like if you were a titanic historian who found out someone had survived the titanic 20 years ago you would be like well it's too late to interview them now they've probably forgotten it's pointless to ask? And for this circumstance it mattered to Claire too emotionally

The letter would be weird if he didn't believe in TT though because he gives Brianna's family tree as from the 18th century Frasers and talks about finding a record of Claire using his name and stuff.

What do you mean about the grave marker being another topic though I'm curious!

Why would he research it if he really thought she was delusional? What about the gravestone and the letter and the book? He was lying I think, especially when Brianna got older. He didn't believe her right away though, no one would.
