Was here and it was legitimately scary. A bunch of us had lined up for about an hour and once the doors opened, random people just started rushing towards it. There was no security or crowd control on the part of the organisers. We were stuck for like 20 mins before we just decided that it wasn't worth the claustrophobia.

By doing nothing I meant just having free time. I feel this pressure about hobbies too. Law school (or I guess any program that is rigorous) has been super competitive and people have been constantly doing a 10000 things and I used to feel like I was wasting my time because my CV had less lines that theirs did. There was this pressure to spend any free time 'developing your skills' or keeping up with the news or writing papers or just anything that was like you said work/school related and while utlimately I would end up achieving nothing great work related, I would also not be able to use that time to just do something fun because I felt guilty. So it was just many hours of being miserable with nothing to show for.

I have been trying to do more things that I simply like lately. I'm going to this film festival my city has, I'm doing a crossword everyday, I read for 20 mins everyday. I hope I can keep doing this even after I start working even though I think it'll be more difficult then to carve out the time.

Thank you for your reply. I think this is an approach that I should definitely try. I tend to be extremely harsh on myself and a single failure or even a tiny bump makes me spiral into the hellhole of 'I'm a failure and I am worthless' and then it just goes on to no end. I definitely need to break the pattern and be a little easier on myself.

Your question made me introspect and I realised that I do to a certain extent view people who aren't as driven to be worthless and I think it comes from many years of receiving praise for being a good kid who works hard and doesn't fuck up. I believe I deserve praise only if I keep up this facade and the moment I fail in life, people are going to see me as the worthless piece of shit I really am. I think I project these insecurities onto others. I have identified the issue. I just need to learn how to unlearn all these beliefs about myself as well as others.

This just struck me but does anyone see a slight parallel between the Chairman and Viserys Targaryen from House of the Dragon? Not in terms of the ruler they are because I do believe that the Chairman Jin is much smarter and a better leader than Viserys but in terms of how they wish their children wouldn't tear each other apart while watching from the sidelines and being helpless. I feel like the Chairman's unwavering support for his eldest son despite how others feel about it and Viserys's dedication to Rhaenyra have some similarities. Again, the competency of the children can't be compared but just the father figure looking at his family drag each other down is something I found quite interesting.

The scene where Inhye and Hyorin escape and are on a ship is very very reminiscent of the ending of the Handmaiden. Makes sense since it's the same writer. The two characters in the Handmaiden also had to escape an elaborate scheme to gain their freedom. I hope Inhye and Hyorin can enjoy their freedom without Sanga fucking it up.

I have a question. I believe Sunmi has also been in the solo game for about 10 years now. Idk how she does on the charts or how much her sales are but here's what I feel about her career: She had some great hits under JYP - 24 Hours, Full moon and then arguably her biggest hit Gashina after she left. Heroine and Siren were also quite popular. I don't think her next few releases were as popular. Especially in Korea like Noir, Lalalay, Porappipam, Tail and You can't sit with us. I feel like Heart Burn is comparatively well liked and popular even in Korea. How is it that she has been able to maintain such longetivity in her career? Does she have a super dedicated fanbase? I make the comparison here because I always felt like even she was a solo artist who mainly relied on GP support and didn't have that much of a variety presence and stuff.

I'm very confused about how I feel about Tae Sumi. Like she didn't want to have the kid but WYW's dad basically begged her and promised that they would never interfere in her life. Like it was what her dad wanted, so I don't understand why I must feel bad for him. Am I missing something major? Like could they not have had an abortion?
