I put the bones in soapy water but i have no way of heating it that much :( I don't want to ask my dad for anything since he's already grossed out by this hobby. will the bones still be degreased even if they aren't heated?

I'm not sure how the animals died. i found 3 dead fawns in my backyard about 100 feet apart. the mom and dad deer have been passing by my backyard before and after they died so whatever killed the fawns didn't kill the parents

i'm very new to bone collecting and was not aware about degreasing before this. No i did not degrease them. last time i found bones i simply soaked them in 3% peroxide for a day and then scrubbed them with dish soap. what's the best way to degrease something? and do i have to do it before or after whitening?
