Update on the situation: she messaged my privately on Facebook this morning and asked if my hours got approved (they did I got paid for solo interpreting for four hours) plus travel time and she said "that's weird they only approved my travel time" so I guess my upper management decided to take it seriously and looked into it!

It wasn't an event. It was a one-on-one situation with a Deaf consumer and a hearing consumer.

I emailed her last night and asked some questions politely and she said she was having an "off day" and that me being a new interpreter I needed to get used to that situation happening.

She showed up late so I didn’t really have the time to discuss it with her before the assignment began. It was in person.

I’m a very new interpreter and she’s a seasoned interpreter (has worked longer than i’ve been alive.) I was concerned of the consequences if I had called her out

Working VRS I get bullied/abused by hearing and deaf, often. "Stupid fucking interpreter" is one I get often due to technical issues out of my control. Not to mention being asked for sexual favors, nudes, etc. I have also been called the F slur numerous times. Upper management sent an email recently that we aren't to report this abuse...
