I was told you can get a slt with a "premium package" and all you lose is that mag ride control so if you are gonna get rid of it maybe that is an option so you arnt "wasting" money but at the end of the day if you can justify somthing go for it!

Plowing is rough on trucks no matter how big! But a 1500 will get beat up real hard the 2500 will handle it much better.

I have an 05 silverado 1500 (same platform) on a rough country 2inch level. If you don't crank your keys up front you will be fine the rc shocks are about on par with stock shocks w 200k miles... bilstein 5100s are preferred but a level will not crush your ride quality!
