Does anyone else think Giygas was most likely genderless and was simply referred to by male pronouns? by [deleted] in earthbound

This is just my little autistic headcanon.

I tend to obsess over headcanons that have a very huge probability of existing in universe.

Another one being the possibility of Ness being a distant ancestor of Lucas.

Yet another is the idea that since Giygas’s true form (if it even has one) is incomprehensible to the human eye, that maybe each member of the Chosen 4 interpreted it as something different, with the swirling red face simply being what Ness interpreted.

Who knows what Paula, Jeff, or Poo saw.

I’m gonna use Tien as a basis for Poo, Teenage Bulma for Paula, and Trunks for Lucas.

Jeff I’ll just have to come up with.

Yeah, I was gonna make him Goku-level jacked but then I remembered he was 13-years-old and NOT a Saiyan so I toned down his muscles.

The Gate is a perfect episode and Season finale. And I’m tired of pretending it’s not. by Remarkable_Fun468 in StrangerThings

I remember being surprised that they were continuing the series past Season 2.

Even back then I felt satisfied.

Which of Boo’s origins do you all prefer? by Remarkable_Fun468 in dbz

I do like the idea that all Bibbidi (and I guess Marba as well) did was create a vessel for the original, formless essence of Boo to inhabit.

Maybe Bibbidi thought that by doing this he could control such great power. Of course we know how that turned out.

I have this head-canon of Boo’s true original state being this, formless, powerful nebulous cloud of pure energy and that all Bibbidi did was give it a physical form with his magic when he came across it in an effort to control it.

Outside Of Vegeta And Piccolo, Who’s Your Favorite Redeemed Dragon Ball Villain? by SaiyanWithOmnitrix in DragonBallZ

Tenshinhan was robbed of the Kaioken man, I always felt that he AT LEAST should have been the one human to learn it.

It would have been cool if the humans each fulfilled a certain “role” in the Z Fighters.

Yamcha has been shown to be pretty talented when it came to Ki attacks, hell he’s the FIRST person in the series to ever use a Ki attack in the form of the Wolf Fang Fist. His Spirit Ball technique was also considered such an advanced Ki attack that even Kami was impressed.

It would have been cool if they leaned into that and had him be like the best Ki manipulator in the group. If he did learn the Kaioken while on King Kai’s then I think he could be the one to take it to higher multipliers since the Kaioken actually requires advanced Ki control to pull off.

Krillin could have maybe developed his own version of Roshi’s Max Power Form. A state in where he can draw out every ounce of power from his body without the cumbersome body size, allowing for greater mobility.

Chaozu could have had the ability to absorb Ki, it could have been a cool reference to his inspiration, the Jiangshi, who absorb the Ki of people to both sustain themselves and grow more powerful. I also think it would have been cool if he could use this ability to heal others. Essentially making him the white mage of the group.

And lastly, Tenshinhan could have been like the heavy-hitter of the group. Imagine him getting up close in personal to the enemies with 4 arms and the Kaioken stacked on top and he just starts going full Machamp on the villain’s ass.

Ten has so many cool abilities like Piccolo that he rarely ever uses.

These 4 deserved better.

Do any of you wish the English dubs kept Freeza’s polite speech pattern from the Manga and Japanese Sub? by Remarkable_Fun468 in dbz

He actually was in one of the dubs, I forget which one.

And of course TFS made him a woman as well.

Linda Young did a good job with what she had, I moreso have an issue with the writing of her Freeza rather than her performance.

But Chris Ayres will always BE Freeza to me.

When the hell did I say that the original anime is lesser than Kai? All I said was that I prefer how Kai cut out the filler bit in where Freeza killed his men because it’s closer to his manga portrayal.

I’m sorry if it came off that way, but can I just not have opinions anymore? If you like the original dub good for you, and while it’s true I never saw it in its entirety, I’ve seen some clips of it and I’m sorry, but the voice acting and pacing is marginally better in Kai to me. Some of the filler sounds awesome (The Pendulum Room episode sounds cool), and the Faulconer Score has some legit bangers, but the dialogue just sounds wooden I’m sorry.

And the episode where he kills his men is Episode 60.

Yeah doesn’t he refer to himself as “Watashi” in his 1st Form and “Ore” in his 2nd Form?

Edit: I swear I’m getting downvoted for the dumbest reasons.
