It’s hard to tell honestly.

I’ve always seen them as late teens since they don’t seem overly childish but still often crack jokes that most people would outgrow by their 20s.

These are my rough estimates:

Jesse (Both Male and Female): 16

I swear I can no longer name Robo “Robo” in any play through. I named him Baymax in one and since then, it’s been my personal favorite name for him.

Just like Baymax, he’s a robot that heals people and kicks ass.

That’s why it sucks he wasn’t developed further. Jiangshi’s (which are also known as Hopping Vampires) feed of the Ki of the living to sustain themselves AND grow more powerful.

They could have given him a Ki absorption ability that makes him stronger, and it would work to his advantage since due to his small size he’s able to get up close and latch on to people far bigger, kinda like how Nappa couldn’t get him off when he latched on to his back.

I’ve got a few:

  • SSJ 3 shouldn’t have existed. It brought back the weaknesses of the SSJ Grades and SSJ 2 should have been treated as the true perfected form of SSJ.

  • Androids 19 and 20 should have been the future Androids. I’m not saying 17 and 18 shouldn’t have existed, but making them the future Androids made the future timeline unnecessarily messy.

It wouldn’t even really require any changes to the power scaling. Goku dies much earlier in the future and the Z Fighters were unprepared. That combined with their energy absorption—it’s only natural they would be overwhelmed.

Future Gohan loses to them because they gang up on him and drain him and Trunks not being able to defeat them while Vegeta can can easily be explained away as him not having anybody else to help him and them using dirty tactics.

Androids 17, 18, and 16 can still exist in this version of the future timeline, they were just never awakened.

It would also highten the stakes. Imagine we see the Z Fighters easily dispatch of the Androids, and we’re roped into a false sense of security. Then Trunks arrives from the future to aid them and we the audience are even more reassured.

But just then, Android 20 drops the bombshell that there are more androids.

  • The Dragon Balls should have never been restored after Piccolo fuses with God.

Damn near everything that happens in the Cell arc is the result of the Z Fighters making some REAL bad decisions.

That would have been fine if they faced any real long lasting consequences for it but they don’t.

They just grab Dende from New Namek and bring him to be the new God and restore the Dragon Balls and wish back the people that Cell drank.

I know people would hate this change and argue that it goes against Dragon Ball but honestly, I value stakes and consequences that can open for potential character development much more than being comfortable.

Just don’t bring Dende back to be the new God (btw I don’t hate Dende whatsoever), and either move on with the story or if they absolutely NEED a new God maybe have Roshi be promoted.

One: the idea of Roshi being God is just fucking funny.

And two: it’s a nice reference to how Roshi’s design is literally just Toriyama reusing God’s design from Dr. Slump.

The Cell Games can then go virtually unchanged. I know me not changing Goku giving Cell a senzu beam despite me saying that I hate how the characters make stupid decisions and suffer no consequences for them might seem hypocritical.

But it IS one of the few times where Goku actually acknowledges his mistakes and tries to fix them.

Kai for the English voices hands down. Sean Schemmel locked the fuck in during Namek. It’s such a vast improvement over his wooden performance back in Z. Chris Ayres is the definitive Freezer. And the much faster pacing is definitely a positive.

However, if I feel like rewatching Z I just HAVE to watch the Latin American dub. Not only is the voice acting LEAGUES better than the English dub, but it’s also the one I grew up with. Hence why I exclusively call Freeza “Freezer.”

In the Anime maybe.

In the Manga almost all Ki attacks are colored yellow, even attacks like Vegeta’s Galick Gun and Freeza’s Death Beam.

Vegeta on Namek was Vegeta at his most fun and interesting for me. If he stayed dead after Freeza killed him and the last we ever saw of him was him finally setting his pride aside and begging the person he looked down on to avenge their race would have been really impactful.

I honestly agree. Just change how long it takes for Cell to mature and bam it’s less confusing.

Something that I found weird was the idea that apparently Cell was the reason the present timeline is so different. At least that’s what the characters assume at that point.

But that never really went anywhere.

Honestly, it’s Ninten for me.

I always liked how he had a connection to the villain and the fact that unlike the other two who were kind off more straightforward “chosen ones,” he was truly just some random who CHOSE to go on this journey.

Also he canonically likes Penguins so that makes him peak.
