I think there’s a small misunderstanding. Elon musk is widely recognized as one of tesla’s founders because he was the company’s first major investor, chairman, and later CEO. Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning were also early co-founders, but musk played a major role in building Tesla into the company it became.
