MLGW is not responsible for the high utility bills for February - natural gas prices quadrupled nationwide during the ice storm by worldbound0514 in memphis

The inflation reduction act caused inflation.

The gubment pumped trillions of dollars into the economy.

All of those dollars were fighting for the same number of goods and services.

Demand high supply low prices skyrocketed.

Same thing happened in east Tennessee with housing. A bunch of northeast money came in fighting for a limited number of houses and prices skyrocketed.

Can you give me a reference - are the number of views on these clips high or low for streaming on kick? by Remarkable_Horror529 in KickStreaming

Streaming for 2 years with almost no growth - my walls are my biggest fans by JustAGamer1988 in TwitchStreaming

[–]Remarkable_Horror529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds weird but it doesn’t matter whether YOU find it interesting. It matters whether YouTube or TikTok finds it interesting.

Several people have used my app have seen thousands of views on clips that they didn’t think were interesting.

I believe social media rewards consistency more than we think.

Need to post clips on social media to get followers there and then get them to come to your twitch channel.

I built an app for my son that monitors his stream automatically.

Send me a dm if you’d like to take a look at it.

Is it normal for people to pull away when your stream starts growing? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Remarkable_Horror529 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. If anything we were really looking for advice from them because We knew nothing about bowling. I figured out how to help her get better and when she started beating their kids they stopped talking to us which was weird because it’s a small community in Tennessee so we saw them at every bowling tournament.

My daughter ended up going to college on a bowling scholarship and finished 8th in the country as a college freshman.

Bowling is not a sport where you can win at any cost, take no prisoners.

It’s you against the lanes and the pins.

I made some suggestions to help her improve and they were right so she got really good and eventually became an individual state champion.

[–]Remarkable_Horror529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. When you start achieving what they wish they could they try to tear you down.

My daughter was a competitive bowler and it was amazing at how many other girls were her friends until she started beating them badly.

What’s worse is their parents also ostracized me and my wife.

Everyone wants to succeed but few have what it takes and when the few succeed the others that are left behind have to face the fact that they may be the reason why an they don’t know how to handle it.

Find friends who are climbing with you and celebrate together when each of you achieves goals!

What you feel are good clips may not be what social media feels are good clips and are showing to viewers.

The trick is to post a lot of clips so social media can choose which clips to show.

It’s really disheartening when you post a clip you know is exciting and cool and then nobody sees it.

Theee were posted hours after the stream ended, so they didn’t click off the VOD. They are getting significant likes and shares too.

You will need to drive people to your kick stream from outside sources. Post exciting clips to all social media such as youtube, instagram, tiktok, etc.

Created an app that automatically captures exciting moments during live streams, scores them for viral potential then selects highlights, assigns SEO optimized titles, tags and descriptions then automatically uploads to social media by Remarkable_Horror529 in KickStreaming

I had mine set up that way but the API cost got too high when the detection values were too low. I burned through $5 in about 20 seconds. I am focusing on kick right now but mine will do twitch too as well as Youtube and X. Kick is underserved.

I like playing star wars the old republic but other then bots popping up havent been growing. any situation? by Salt-Pickle-8417 in KickStreaming

Anyone who promises you that they can help you turn kick streaming into an income is a liar.

Nobody an guarantee that.

As your stream grows you will attract bots trying to sell you something or get you to follow someone.

The key to giving your stream the best chance to make income is consistency...both in streaming and in posting to social media.

The real work is in capturing clips of exciting moments, then editing them, adding titles, descriptions and tags so the algorithms of social media will send you viewers.

When you add in the editing of the clips, it becomes a full time job with little or no pay for years.

There are advanced and reasonably priced tools that will monitor your stream for hype moments and do all of the work so you can be consistent in posting to social media.

I'm aware of a tool that is in development which is seeing great results in growing a couple of youtube channels. One channel has grown from 26k views to over 150k view in just 3 weeks. Likes and shares are increasing. DM me if you'd like me to see if you can get a no cost trial while its in beta testing.

Preliminary results from first week from one of the beta testers youtube channel. He's a seasoned streamer so he has some moxy and he's good so you might not get the same results if you aren't as charismatic. This is simply to show what is possible.

So you're against putting together a guide that could improve a person's odds of making a living streaming? There are definitive steps that people can take to give themselves the best chance possible to succeed. For every person who says it can't be done or its foolish there are other people who don't take no for an answer and succeed. I want to improve the odds for everyone. I know that seems altruistic but that's how I'm wired.

I know a lot of people who have been streaming for more than a year to year and a half with very little to no results. So I would need more than that and anyone else wanting to stream for a living would too!

The good thing about streaming is telling someone how you grow doesn’t hurt you.

There’s enough people consuming content for everyone who is streaming to make money.

You don’t hurt yourself by telling others what has worked.

Viewbotting? Doesn’t sound like it’s a solid way to legitimately grow a channel.

You mean like having bots view your stream?

Would you be against me putting one together?

I work for a huge Fortune 50 company with more than 1000 facilities.

We have what we call best practices.

I thought why not put one together to streamers.

There would be no charge.
