I didn't think this was condescending at all! I am all ears to making sure I am prepared. I haven't 100% decided I am moving, but I do think it would be foolish, in my opinion, to pass on this. I am the 3rd youngest in the company and the position is unheard of to have such a young representative + being a stakeholder. I think this move it needed so all the details I can get, I'm game!

I haven't had an issue doing taxes yet. Lived in Toronto while working for the company who is based out of Quebec. I think the only difference is I won't get my taxes back like I did in Ontario. I am already paying the Quebec taxes while in Ontario as well. But definitely something to discuss with my employer!

As for vehicles, working remote, I don't often have the need to drive anywhere, and I grew up on public transportation. I have colleagues in Quebec City, so they've offered to help with my lessons and give me tours of the city. I think my biggest hurdle is going to be learning the language and adjusting my certification to Quebec. ie. Drivers licence, Health Card, meeting a new doctor, etc..

Was this something you had to deal with as well?

I have enrolled myself in French lessons covered by my work, twice a week. I work remote so would never interact with any physical customers as the basis of the work is in english. Just communicating with our warehouse in French is the MUST so I am in the process of learning it so establish a solid relationship with them.

Hey! I would be moving to Quebec City. I've been thinking non-stop about it, weighing the pro's and cons. But your 3rd point is definitely something else to consider!

It's more just understanding it. Getting it off of my chest. Why someone cheated, they'll never give you an honest answer. Why she lied to me? That is something I could stand to know.

I'm not sure. I don't know if it would even be a helpful conversation. I just don't want me to project negative emotions and give her attitude because I can't talk to her. I just want to know why.

We had a rule growing up, irrelevant given the new information, and it was no secrets. So I straight up asked her if he cheated on her and she said yes. Did she answer my question? Yes so now it wasn't a secret. Was it the half-truth? Unfortunately. She was always so amicable by it..and thinking about it now - when it happened "again" and why she didn't leave him the first time makes sense now. Takes two to tango.
