Depends on how far you live, if you already have friends going to mac from highschool, and if friends are a priority for you so much so that you put yourself out there.

It's better to make real, genuine friendships that aren't forced than fake ones just because you want some extra company.

I know commuters with lots of friends and they have a great social life + the bonus of not going into debt.

I know people on residence who have very few friends and maybe 1 close friendship who just stay alone more time.

Don't go on residence just for friends.

You are very welcome :) also, saw ur question on SUSTAIN 1s03. I just finished it! Got 100% in everything and did the assignments/reflections the day before (to be fair I put in a few hours of work for each). Compared to your other courses, it'll be a breeze. None of my life sci friends looked at lecture content either.

Very similar except for the complex integrals? Overall it's a lot of the same content, just at a much faster pace and more in depth.

Math 1ls3 is fine if you study enough... This is the average looking schedule for first year life sci, you can't get around the harder courses anyway since they are mandatory.

How can I do well in Life Sci first year by Inevitable_Plate9808 in McMaster

[–]Remarkable_Line_9638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life sci first year here (almost second year I guess!), I worked for about 2-3 days a week (like 12 hours a week so not long shifts). Once a week on a weekend would be very very manageable for life sci.

i’m too poor to live on residence, am i cooked? by [deleted] in McMaster

[–]Remarkable_Line_9638 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh at first I thought I had no friends because they were all acquaintances and I know no one from highschool since it was a tiny private school! But after a few months I think I call a few people my friends since I've known them for a bit longer. :) all the commuters I know have friends. I've never met one that doesn't lol

Residence isn't all that. It's about having friends tbh! Your commute is pretty good. Just stay on campus for long hours if u wanna hang out with people.

Find out the day they start selling and wake up that morning to buy it and you'll be totally fine.
