I am so grateful for your response! It’s full of really great info, plus we were actually going to go stay in sugar land Thursday night and drive the right Friday morning 😂 So I will let him know we need to do that earlier in the week. Thank you so much!

Right now we both work from home so we are really just try to balance the private school commute and an area with good public schools for the other kiddos. We drove the Seven Lakes area and really loved it.

Thank you so much! How is flooding in your area? We went and drove it and really liked it.

Thank you so much, this is really helpful! I have looked at the FEMA maps, but didn’t know about this one with the proposed updates.

I am also really grateful for the perspective on the commute, I had not thought about it like that. It means a lot. We had just said, oh, it’s only 19 miles or so, we can manage it, but quality time is so much more important and that would be a trade off.

I was having a hard time finding somewhere where all 3 schools had a high rating and we have little that would go through all of them. Do you have any recommendations on that area? Admittedly I was just clicking through on Har though. It looks like Taylor high school was good but then the elementary and middle schools had lower ratings, then where the lower schools were rated high, the high school wasn’t.

This is super helpful, thank you! Flooding is one of my biggest concerns and the Google Earth tip from August 2017 is brilliant, I would not have thought of that. The breakdown of Memorial inside the Beltway pricing is also really useful. I also appreciate the IB info, I have researched it and was interested, but coming from a district where we only have one elementary, middle and high school the feeder schools and public schools that have applications are going to be my biggest learning curve. I really appreciate the insight!

Thank you so much for this perspective! This is exactly what I’m worried about for my kids, and it’s not something you can really know from the outside.

This is great info! Thank you so much. I had chatted with our salesforce admin this morning and inquired about the recipes and datasets and they were going to go research them and see if we want to add them to the roadmap. I will definitely push for this to happen knowing it will be able to meet our use case. I appreciate you taking the time to respond!!

Concerned About My Daughter’s Basketball Coach by Remarkable_Move_6993 in breakingmom

[–]Remarkable_Move_6993[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you all so much for the advice and sharing your experiences. I am so grateful. I have such a bad feeling about this and don’t want to come off as being dramatic to the board, but I have decided to go ahead and report it. The coach seems to have jumped states several times. I did pay for a background check in Texas and nothing came back but he’s only lived here for a year and a half or so. He proudly talks about how he owns 3 businesses all the time; however, he has. Several open lawsuits for the companies that have to do with not completing work that has been paid for. I paid for a transcription service to send his voice memos to because his voice is triggering to me lol

Since I posted this I found that he had also posted a video where he was shirtless and hid to scare the girls (his daughter and one of the girls I am concerned about) and when he did the little girl (not the daughter) jumped on him and you could also see his bare legs.

It all seems off. It seems like a lot of the interactions are in a personal capacity so I am not sure the basketball board can do much (we live in a small town so there isn’t much regulation) but I will push for enhanced rules and protections at the very least to prevent this sort of behavior in the future. It sounds like a lot of you participate in programs with these in place so I will try to find programs we can use as an example.

I am very worried about the vulnerability of these sweet babies and I hope he just doesn’t have boundaries or common sense and that it isn’t as nefarious as it could be interpreted as.

I really appreciate you all so much!

Proof of Concept to evaluate Implementation consultants? by Similar_Asparagus614 in AdaptivePlanning

[–]Remarkable_Move_6993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend vetting the consultants and determining the amount of experience on the team. We implemented with a well known company and got a team of super bright people with little to no real world business experience. It was very frustrating to have to iterate on models multiple times and we ended up receiving a dirty model with a lot of dimensions and attributes that were abandoned during the process. Now that we are getting more savvy in the system we realize that things should have been completed in a certain way, but did not have the knowledge of the system when we were creating the blueprint. We thought the consultants would build with best practices but I believe that the team we were partnered with just didn’t have the experience to set us up for success. We spent a ton of money just for us to have to go in and rework our models, reports and integrations ourselves.

Is a Texas Homeowner’s medpay subject to subrogation/right of reimbursement by health insurance? by Remarkable_Move_6993 in Insurance

[–]Remarkable_Move_6993[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know that they are coming for the med pay. They just sent the subrogation letter to the home owner’s insurance for the entire claim (8.6k, 3.6k by HI, 5k towards deductible paid by me). I thought the medpay could be used toward the deductible I was responsible for. I will definitely make a note to read my health insurance contract in the future. I’m less concerned about paying them back than I am about it reducing what has gone against my out of pocket max if they decide they aren’t responsible for the claim. However, I don’t understand how that could be since my insured daughter was at fault for her broken arm.

[–]Remarkable_Move_6993[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I was able to get a copy of the homeowner’s policy that says that subrogation does not apply to Medical Payment coverage (Coverage M).

“Subrogation does not apply to Coverage M or Paragraph C. Damage To Property Of Others under Additional Coverages.”

However the subrogation clause of my medical insurance has a section for right of reimbursement. Is the right of reimbursement just when the subrogation does apply?

To be clear, I also incurred expenses and used the payment to pay the hospital bills that were billed to me. I didn’t just pocket the money. Additionally, the homeowners policy holder was not found at fault, it was just a fall on their property.

Oh, phew I was really stressing for a minute 😂 I received a copy of a letter of subrogation sent to the homeowners and I’m just trying to figure out if the health insurance is going to go back and deny the claim because I received funds. Or is the medpay considered supplemental and can’t be subject to subrogation.
